Fascinating! The cloud-database URL is really really deep, but not infinitely so. But I bet each time I refresh it gets a little deeper.

TRWTF is Samsung KIES; horrible, horrible piece of crapware. Adds nothing and just gets in the way. Plain folder access is better in every way.

At least the jackpot amount is accurate to 100000 currency units...

What I find concerning is that the newspaper uses Wikipedia template syntax for its captions... (Or, perhaps it doesn't, but the editor of the caption thought it did.)

I just accidentally null the whole thing. What should I do?

Must have gone to the wrong station - clearly "St Pancrs" has a much worse service than St Pancras itself.
Captcha: suscipit - I suscipit a typo.... |
|
The 0.0 jackpot looks like some kind of shenanigans to me. A perod is the German thousands separator, not the decimal point. The decimal point in German is a comma. One million Euros would be written: 1.000.000,00 or more likely 1.000.000,--
Also the banner is much narrower than a reasonable length for the horizontally-displayed number field. |
|
And that is why you should put your databases on Sun servers: The clouds just get in the way!
|
|
So if I get 30 stars on my Starbucks card, can I also expect infinite free coffee (hopefully it's not NaN free coffee)?
|
|
Do you Brits really say "train AT St. Pancras" when you are heading TO St. Pancras? If not, you know TRWTF (tm): telling people at platform which is the station they are at, rather than telling where the train is heading.
|
FTFY. Also "Mio." means million, so they'd write "Mio 4.2" or so. Most players don't care so much for the lower digits ... |

Or, more likely, bad editing. |

I usually amend EULAs before agreeing to them, getting rid of objectionable parts and such. A blank one is refreshingly acceptable, and I see those more often when installing software via WINE.

The photo is taken at St Pancras. So the poster was rushing to catch the train at St Pancras to somewhere (like Sheffield).
Why the departure board needs to tell you that, I really don't know. |
|
Hey, stop whining, out here in the sticks we only get buses every 19999 minutes.

Also, it seems that Stack Builder is very good at building a stack...of directories at least. |

It is astonishing how many people think they have to buy a "package" to do something their OS already does. For example, digital cameras with (Windows only, of course, or maybe fortunately) crapware to "download" your photos (copy them from USB media) "organize" them into "collections", view slideshows, resize, crop, print... and usually the vendor written junk does a much worse job than what you already have built-in to your system. |
1. Starbucks is not just in Australia. 2. That's not how you spell it anyway. |
Well if they mean million, why don't they say million? Fucking foreigners! |

If you are at St Pancras, there won't be a train that goes from there to St Pancras. Ever. But the database doesn't have a flag for "never", so they just used the maximum value they could store. Not a WTF. User error. |

So the Stack Builder built a stack. Of redirects, or crap, your choice. But, really, are you surprised? That's what it's designed to do! |
So what, There is clearly no numbers to the left of that 0.0. It could be 0.000.000.000.000.000.000,00 and it would still be 0, regardless of how many comma's or decimal points or whatever is being used to format the number. So unless you 0-pad your numbers, I think the ad is broken. |

So, you mean, that if there's no train leaving from the platform, the destination string of the departure board defaults to current location, rather than empty string? Well, interesting design choice, but you could say it works. "Hey, this must be wrong platform, I wanted to Ashford, but this train only gets me back to where I left." |
I hate to break it to you but you are actually the 352,553rd* post The actual 9999th post would have been by Fregas: "oh god kill me now!" http://thedailywtf.com/Comments/Party_Like_It_0x27_s_1969.aspx#32236 * Assuming linear and incremental usage of post numbers and factoring in that the first post started at 22,237 (minor WTF there). |

Or, do you mean that when the wrong destination was somehow set, the system could not find any train leaving to St. Pancras, because being at St. Pancras, it defaulted to maximum value. 'k, now I understand. (Sorry, haven't bothered to register, so cannot edit.) |
