I think it might be time to lay off the drugs... (caffeine included) |
I thought the site looked familiar...
http://www.securityfocus.com/vulnerabilities |
I love how your options are version 1.0 or version 8, apparently you are dead to them if you run any other version.
"Sometimes you have to listen to the Avril Lavigne in your head and just, like, totally reject authority!!"
If I had an Avril Lavigne (spelling?) in my head I would have to quit the drugs. |
you're dead to me!

The Real WTF are the google ads today. What does technology and the bible have to do with each other?
Would this be a good time to say -
The Real WTF is they have 725 pages of vulnerabilities ? |

Where TF are they going to get 725 wooden tables to properly post them all? |
I don't get the "No Quack" joke - what am I missing? Anyone? |
Interesting observation. The advertisers for Bibles and religion are buy adword phrases "totally reject authority" "fun prohibited", etc? OK then. Captcha: alarm - time to get one |

No, you don't miss anything. And no, absolutely don't go to http://worsethanfailure.com/Articles/No,_We_Need_a_Neural_Network.aspx |
The real WTF is that you can select the version number before selecting the product or vendor.

So this is truly powered by a neural network? No Quack! |
http://worsethanfailure.com/Articles/No,_We_Need_a_Neural_Network.aspx |
Well, if we eliminated all the vendors and products that don't have releases with the selected version, the list(s) would be whittled down pretty quickly.
They're just using Google's latest technology: http://slashdot.org/articles/07/04/16/1434234.shtml |

Aha! Thanks! |
lol, I checked the site and it reloads the boxes each time you select and deselect them. Even if the first (instuctional) option is choosen or if you select the same value.
Perhaps that first poster was a bible homosexual? its the first google ad that came up captcha = alarm |
In the begining, God created the 0. Not the one you see here, but the proper zero with a slash through it and saw that it was good.
But 0 became board, and did very little. It was listless in the sea of singularityness. So god took the slash and used it to create 1. 1 was created by the slash and designed to stand next to 0 so that they may be partners, go forth, and simulate real numbers. |

I must be really tired because the actual article has me confused. Obviously there are problems with the interface in question, as pointed out by other users, but WTF does "DON'T USE" have to do with rebelling...?
HA HA HA
That is so funny. HA HA HA |
Behind that selection hides The Imp of the Perverse.
And the answer to all questions: 'Nevermore' |

In the screen shot, "don't use" is selected. That is, it's about to be used. |
Select a vendor, and the DON'T USE choice goes away, but it says "Page 1 of 0", heh. |
I have this kind of problem with FogBugz. You can't delete a release without going into the database. I'm sure they have some usability reason for it, but what if some other admin made a stupid release, or made it only for a specific project, not globally (or the other way around) and I just want to delete it?
You might want to delete your duplicate post. |
I can't. I'm anonymous.

I thought only the Op could actually delete a post? |
No, they are buying ads for phrases like "conscience" (ninth word of the second sentence). LT |
Thank you, mr. obvious. :P I must be tired because that never occurred to me. Still, I took it for a poorly worded N/A or "don't know" option... BTW, the pyramid of quotes is actually kinda cool. ;) |
no woman no cry? (that's a two-fer)
Maybe people have been saying "oh my god" too many times. |
Excellent! |
When I'm lucky, I only see the Avril Lavigne in my head.
The real WTF is that Google Ads coughed up a banner ad for a trip to India. Don't feed the tigers at a zoo, y'see. Do it in India. |
sometimes, specific versions of a product are marked "don't use" to indicate that there are serious problems with them, but are kept for archiving purposes. take linux-2.4.11-dontuse, for example. although having a version named just "DON'T USE", with no actual version number, would be quite unusual.
Nope. As we all know the answer to all questions is: 42. |
Maybe edit the post so that it says "DON'T USE"? |
That depends on whose house you're visiting, and how loud the bells are ringing. Brass bells, silver bells, you know, that sort of thing. |
I await the day that I see "HELP IM TRAPPED IN A DROP-DOWN MENU FACTORY" among those options.

Kind of like how Java 4 is really Java 1.4. |
