Dear Brot Gnarfstroll,
In case you can’t tell, this is a grown-up place. The fact that you insist on using your ridiculous handle clearly shows that you’re too young and too stupid to have the frist comment. Go away and grow up. Sincerely, Bert Glanstron |

TRWTF is that the shirt cost $999
|
|
Sexchanging a shirt means moving the buttons from the right side to the left side or vice-versa, and the buttonholes the other way.
|
where does it say the price is in US dollars? |

I think it's in Sri Lanka Rupees, which makes it ~$8.90 in USD. |

Sure, they call it "The 4th Dimension"... |

Let's see: the Windows 7 error simply states the obvious, whereas the Mac makes contradictory statements.

We used to do that at a shirt factory where I worked. Moving the buttonholes is hard!
|
Yes, and it uses the metric system. |
|
The application was OK.

I have encountered species of shirt whose differentiation into male/female occurs significantly later into its gestation, in which there are buttonholes on each side (although they are rudimentary, unopened ones on the same side as where the buttons have developed). This should make application of the gender change request significantly more streamlined, as there would then be no need to add the stitching round the new buttonholes. |
A suitable description for every exception I have ever seen. |

But kernel panic screendumps aren't so funny - except for a certain class of people who really ought to get out more |
|
Since today is August 13, and the date shown on the receipt is "09/05/2010", I'm going to assume the store is outside the US.
|
|
TRWTF is that he exchanged the shirt in September 2010
|

TRWTF is that some one took a photo from inside the casino.

TRWTF is Linux, where programs just disappear without any error message. |
|
The real WTF is surely that the shirt cost 999?
That and the fact that a store which states "No refunds" on it's Ts & Cs has a section on the receipt dedicated to "Cash Refund" |
|
What?!? I thought Macs "just worked™". Or are you suggesting that those "I'm a Mac" commercials are full of shit?
Man, if you can't trust ad-men, who can you trust? |
|
I don't really see a problem with the magic number error. Presumably it's talking about a checksum that doesn't match suggesting the installer is corrupt. So it suggests the very sensible action of getting another copy of the installer.

Nonsense. He just scheduled (and paid in advance for) the shirt's gender reassignment surgery. These things are complicated and take lots of lead time. |

TRRWTF is that USAians, instead of using the logical dmy or the logical and easy-to-sort-by ymd, use the completely random mixture of mdy. Is it most significant order or reverse most significant order? Neither! Maybe it's "metric".

What on earth gave you that impression? Casinos generally don't have windows, but it has nothing to do with the law, they just do their best to make it as difficult as possible for you to keep track of what time it is. |

Yeah, because I've never run a Windows program that has shut down without an error message. TRWTF is when Explorer crashes for no apparent reason. TRWTF is taking 20 minutes to start up and then still busy doing something that doesn't show up in the Task Manager but pre-empts any prompt use of programs. TRWTF is requiring internet connectivity to view help files. TRWTF is disk defrag. TRWTF is the blue screen of death when I plug in a mouse. TRWTF is releasing a version where the firewall was disabled by default. TRWTF is running everything as an Administrator TRWTF is leaving back doors to the operating system open and not thinking anyone will find them. TRWTF is that anyone anywhere dares to use Windows on any computer. |

Dear anon, In case you can’t tell, the casino is a grown-up place. The fact that you insist on allowing children to see inside an establishment that serves alcohol clearly shows that you’re too young and too stupid to be gambling. Go away and grow up. Sincerely, Bert Glanstron |
Many countries write the date as day/month/year. |
Good job. You've exhausted this thread's quota of the phrase "TRWTF". Now nobody else can make unoriginal observations about what the "real" WTF is in shorthand. Thanks. |

Personally, I think the way we do months is archaic. I can't be bothered to remember what each and every month's unique day count is, so I go by day of year/year
