I love going to Little Indian restaurants and ordering some NaaNs.

Captcha: consequat. An amalgamation of "consequence" and "squat". I sometimes have a consequat after eating Indian food.

The Menlo Park marker pin is a classic case of mixing up your latitude and longitude values.

I have to deal with large datasets containing lat/long on a daily basis, and there's always a proportion of them where the values have been entered the wrong way round, or with a positive value where they should have been negative (or occasionally vice versa).

For points in the US, these bugs generally result in the marker pins ending up either in Antarctica or in the middle of Asia as in this example.

Having said that, I guess there *might* be a place called Menlo Park in south India....

Also, the Real WTF is ordering pizza from Domino's.

OK let's get this out of the way right now. We all recognize how clever you are. We know you can find a way to generate a 9999 character username. We also acknowledge that you are a fascinating person who deserves more attention than you get.

Consider us impressed. I know I am, and I'm sure everyone else will agree.

So you don't have to actually post your 9999 character username to crap up the page for the rest of the day.

What is the real WTF here -

Domino's Pizza

Dominos has gotten much better in the past few years since they started fix their pizza. Also normally their online ordering system is pretty smooth, which I like since I cant stand calling a place to make an order since it seems they always find someway to mess it up. Like when I say 'easy on the sauce', they only catch the last part 'sauce' and type in extra sauce.

My favorite part of Dominoes is how they had commercials saying "Out pizza sucked, but now we're making it better." I give them some credit for their honesty, but their commercials should now way "Our pizza went from intolerable to barely tolerable."

No, you're confusing it with the Quarter Pounder.

(get your movie references right: it had to do with the metric system. "Big" is not limited to the obsolete measurement systems).

This! I don't need some minimum-wage I-don't-care pothead to do my data entry for me. They almost always get it wrong.

Attention all businesses. Give me a web form to fill out myself. And then use the data I give you; don't re-enter it.

I have a credit card where my name is misspelled even though I filled out a web form to apply. Obviously somewhere in their deep labyrinth of WTFfery is a step that goes something like:

1. Print application.
2. Place on wooden table.
3. Photograph.
4. Display on screen one.
5. Enter data from photograph on screen two.
6. ?
7. Profit!

The pizza topping label "non-meats" is a WTF in itself. That's a label only a programmer could love. I mean, it's perfectly correct, but...yeesh. This is that exceedingly rare case where a marketing person could have been helpful.

Sounds almost as bad as Comcast's online support. To get into a live chat with someone, you need to fill out a form with your name, account number, address, phone number, and I feel like there was something else I can't remember. Then you get into the chat and the the person on the other end has NONE of the information you entered. I even tried entering fake account information and didn't get an error, so they're not validating it either. So tell me, what the hell is the point of that form?

This Friday trend of posting 4 screenshots of errors has become boring. There's nothing to say about any of these. These kind of things happen to most experienced developers (miscalculation, production environment assumptions, not testing). If you're really getting tens of good articles every day, then stop this crap.

What do you mean by "outside-of-USA readers who don't know about Domino's pizza"? I have a Domino's within walking distance here in Germany. Never ordered from them though because I prefer to get my pizza from a non-franchise Italian restaurant. Or maybe you meant the US Domino's has worse quality than the one in Europe?
