Well, how can one try to translate "uber" when it actually should be "über". Capitalisation error? Lost two points?
What happens if you try to translate "more über"?

TRWTF is 'starry sleighride'
I don't get the last one. Is the problem that you can only save $10 or that it expired 8 years ago?
Call them or visit them and find out, the number/address is right there. |
I like the window theme on the first one.
Well, following the logic of yesterday's article if you translated über you would get _BER. |
The real WTF is that the last one currently has style="display:none" on the <img/>

I called and the operator answered. She asked me a few of questions and then transfered me. It took forever. At first she didn't know what I was talking about. I think they need to hire someone else to answer the phones. |
Babelfish also translates as "more uber"

überererer? or the server screaming wall h4x!
"more über" gets you "more over".
"more uber" gets you "more more uber". |
If I called that number in this country, I would get a nice lady asking me "Which service do you require?" (Or is it now "Fire Police or Ambulance?" now?)
I think they would be unimpressed If I said, "Uh, the 'Starry sleighride', thanks." I would probably get a visit from my neighborhood police man. (Required knowledge: The emergency services number here is "000") |

TRWTF™ (I thought I'd never say that) is that there's no wooden table under Edible Arrangements.
Am I the only one bothered by the fact that the tips file is stored under c:\windows\system ?
Cannot open "C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\Desktop\comment.txt"
No it isn't. |
well given that 000 is an emergency number used in some countries outside of the US I wouldn't be surprised if some people considered them to be worthless countries. But the propensity of US media in other countries also causes confusion with some people who think that 911 is the number you need to call, instead of the correct {INSERT LOCAL NUMBER} emergency number |
TRWTF is that they actually answered when I called. And I saved 10 roman dollars with that coupon. |
The phone number and address are a little empty. I'm not sure what that has to do with the comment, though. |

Consider disabling Adblock and trying again.

One thing that saddens me about the demise of Commodore in the early nineties and the subsequent loss of the Amiga as a viable mass-market platform is that i will almost certainly never see a Guru-Meditation screen on a jumbotron or information display anywhere.. so much cooler than a windows crash.

Well - it could be that Joseph actually got the joke, as he parsed "$X" to "$10" and the date 00/00/00 to "expired 8 years ago". Whooosh. ;) |

"more uber" translaated English to German gets "mehr uber." "über", German to English, yields "over", as it should.
TRWTF is they're storing the tips file in C:\Windows\system

Apparently they must have changed numbers. I called them, and got this nice lady who was extra helpful, but called herself operator all the time, but she helped me out with my other phone issues so I recommend her. |
That reminds me... back in the mid-'90s, I recall seeing Guru Meditation errors quite frequently on the TV guide channel on my local cable system. Wish I'd managed to get a screenshot at some point... |
Schrödinger has nothing to do with this error message

The menu simultaneously does and doesn't have a submenu. |

You killed the metajoke... The ad says "Save $X", X is roman for 10, expiration date says 00/00/00 and it's 2008 so it expired 8 years ago...

There needs to be some way to disable the Comment link until the would-be poster has read every post in the thread.

The obvious observation is that it isn't. The less obvious observation is that TextPad is a commonly used replacement for Notepad. The user probably put the executable in Windows\System and renamed it Notepad.exe instead of modifying the associations. TextPad probably tries to load the tips file from the working directory. |
It's in a subfolder named "system": C:\Program Files\TextPad 4\system\TXPADENG.TIP |
