I think I saw one of those Cavendish things before. It was a fully automated karaoke vending machine set up in a bar, sorta like a jukebox. I suppose the submitter already sang once, and the machine was begging him not to try again.

Hm, my colleague just got a new phone, and since he could choose the number (from a selection) he took the one that ends with three (!) zeros.

First I was envious, now I understand why nobody else took this one :-)

In my Japanese EPG, stuff like this shows up on a regular basis:

午後のロードショー グラン・トリノ公開記念イーストウッド特集「ダーティファイター」
(Afternoon Roadshow Gran Turino Public Commemoration Eastwood Special "Dirty Fighter")

Yeah, awesome, thanks. Whoever thought it'd be a great idea to put a whole novel before the actual title of the film needs to gets his or her eyes sporked out. Usually I can only see the title up to about "Roadshow" in the overview. And even in the details view the title is just about too long to know which film it is, thanks to Windows Media Center not line wrapping but instead abbreviating.

A varchar(32) problem seems trivial in comparison.

*) Dirty Fighter seems to be the Japanese title of "Every Which Way But Loose"

No no no, "tripple" is German for "scurry".
You never heard of "scurry posting"? Works kinda like Schadenfreude and Grammatiknazi.

I don't think that last one would be a WTF, little something called character limits and with Journey to the Center of the Earth being such a long name, if there is a limit on it then it would be 32.

No, that one was a different phone number and therefore a completely different WTF.

I might try adding another phone to my Three account, then when I get a letter like that I can send mine in too.

I checked the page source: <span style='display: none;'>SELECT * FROM tblLyr WHERE album = 'Illinois' AND auteur = 'Sufjan Stevens'</span>. I guess you can 'none', but you can't hide from Google!"

The parking one makes complete sense. If you don't pay, they get to fine you more than you would have paid. Thus, they'd rather you didn't pay. Hence the "Please Don't".
