Of course Verified by Fail will be new phrase used when a typo comes up in a WTF.

or what i will put in for the first 3 times attempting to enter a comment

Verified by Fail. |
Don't be such a whiner... that Pay Station looks totally legit.
You will not be able to read this text until the comment has not been written.
That's simple. It's asking for n such that 1 < n < 1... You should try entering 1/0 and watching it explode... |
Circular Structure - Isn't the trash usually a "Circular Structure"? Maybe this isn't really a fail...
Wow! A 25% price increase. Serves me right for not buying it earlier. I better snap it up now before the price goes up more.
It's passive aggressive marketing. |

Mine is more like a cubicle structure. But I have to admit it doesn't look as appealing as the average Apple product. |

That's just silly. Clearly you should enter "everything I say is a lie". |
Drums are also often circular structures...maybe Apple is just a big fan of Stomp. |

That crested gecko looks just like mine.

He should have tried entering 'i' or maybe 'j' if he is an engineer... |

Is it me or does the first one seem like a very lame XSS vulnerability, where the user used this XSS to display the javascript error message and captured it for here?
Doesn't look real to me. And the "\" at the end of the textbox is usually a good indication of a XSS. And so is more html displayed as text after that. |
Circular Structure - Maybe your drumming sucks and Apple was trying to save your neighbors' sanity...
Truly 'twas my first impression too. Ah well, so much for TDWTF being mostly accurate ;) |
Most of my life seems to be verified by fail.
"Look mom, I'm on the daily wtf!"
XSS are usually quite boring from security researcher's point of view, but for this one I found pretty good punchline... Here's the original picture btw: http://sintonen.fi/pics/verified_by_fail.png PS. The spam filter here is frigging annoying. |
WOW, that Chinese Hacker text is sent by a virus via Windows Messenger, which is disabled in XP SP2.
So, 1) this atm runs pre-firewall and horribly unpatched XP, and 2) one of the PCs in the bank's network is infected with a virus from 2002. GREEEAT. http://vil.nai.com/vil/content/v_99518.htm captcha: jugis (big jugis!) |

Is that a salmiakki order form?

There just HAS to be something even older! |

Is that shop, perchance, named Grot? |

Of course there is another number between 1 and 1 that he is forgetting: 1i. (0 + 1i).
wouldnt a $10/month discount, on 0$
mean he would be paying -10$ (aka they would pay him 10$ a month not to leave) ?? |

Despite the WTF here, Dreamhost is still an excellent cheap hosting provider.

Super! |
Going back a lot but worth the journey! Great! Super! |

Heh, actually I was not prompted to enter anything at all in the first place which was another WTF itself. |
I'm very happy with them. I like that they have a sense of humour about things. For example, their email newsletters are consistently named (month-1). So their February newsletter is due out any day now because it's the first week of March. (I wouldn't be surprised if that was born out of a mistaken late newsletter one month, followed by a "hey, uh, we meant to do that! Yeah!" and they've just kept it up ever since.) |
It is asking for an integer between 1 and lower case L. Obviously, they are using the base 17 system. |
The price on that remote controlled train made me think of something I found funny at the local Harbor Freight store yesterday. They have an air compressor that is regular price $397.99. It's "on sale" for $399.99.

The Telus add is actually supposed to be 'Unknown' - its not a mistake
Enter an integer between 1 and 1: "1an integer1" - there, how hard was it?
The future is friendly. Telus is decidedly not.
I don't get the lizard one. Can someone explain to me what I'm missing ?

I expect so. |
I think they want something more to the effect of 151 (the integer is 5) TRWTF for the fail one is that that popup is the only part of the application that is in English. What is an English popup doing on a Spanish (or whatever language) page? EDIT: sorry, the leftover HTML and the "verified by Visa" bit are also in English, but the point stands; why is the error message in English on a non-English site? CAPTCHA: Steven Harper's favorite food: prorogue-eeze. |
I'm sorry. I don't understand. Could you please explain? |

<br> I have to admit, I'm a bit baffled as well. Obviously there must be some context I'm missing, because the word 'unknown' isn't a wtf on its own. The picture's been so tightly cropped that it's meaningless. I can only assume that must have been the sum total of the information available, because otherwise there's nothing to see here, but if I have to infer the context that would make a picture funny from the fact that the picture was in a list of funny pictures, then, well, WTF?! |
Probably? Excuse my ignorance, but that word is unknown to me. Thanks for your friendly responses. I hope you keep that attitude. |
Paraphrastically, they're asking $49.99, it's worth $32, I'll offer them $24.
