    Here's the blank for today. As for Friday's (1.20), DoctorFriday's #185240 was brilliant. Kenny's #185211 was a close second.
  • Daniel 2008-03-24 09:27
Wow. This is the first one that I actually chuckled at.
  • NCBloodhound 2008-03-24 09:43
  • KNY 2008-03-24 09:56
    The worst.
  • halber_mensch 2008-03-24 10:02
  • halber_mensch 2008-03-24 10:04
    I don't get it.
  • NCBloodhound 2008-03-24 10:14
If you don't get it, you haven't seen the godfather, which is what the first scene refers to.

And as for saying it is the worst, thanks! I think it is truly saying something if someone thinks my replies are just as lame or lamer than MFD! ;)

After 1.20 sucked less than usual, it's nice to see normal service has been resumed.

  • belgariontheking 2008-03-24 10:53
Exactly. That's all this comic is: Filler. Like Lorem Ipsum.

I believe as your comic improves, the inverse will be seen with our witty comments...take the first comment as an example(mine).

Lol the third panel today features a Jeet Kune Do style punch. Vertical fist, chin down, left shoulder raised, knees bent, feet apart at the hips, and body turned sideways from target. The only problem is that his right arm is by his hip instead of up protecting his face.

    Good stuff!

P.S. The comic was funny, too =)
  • AbbydonKrafts 2008-03-24 12:14
OMFG!! That was hilarious! It made me LOL.
  • All-Beef Patty 2008-03-24 12:14
That's a pretty damn weak Godfather reference.

That barely looks like a horse on that background. And there's no blood. Plus, more than half the creepiness of that scene was that they put it into his bed while he was sleeping.

This just looks like he's got some kind of bizarro horse on a stick that going to bite the guy holding it.
  • Daniel Beardsmore 2008-03-24 12:29
    RoF (ring-on-finger) Girl forever!
  • belgariontheking 2008-03-24 13:03
    I agree with All-Beef Patty.

How many times in your life do you get to hear that?

If the author wanted to strengthen the reference, he could have changed the dialog, and held up a bloody horse's head.
  • NCBloodhound 2008-03-24 13:07
The weak reference to the godfather is intitial. The 'boss' is trying to look macho, but then uses a child's toy to show it. Maybe instead of posting my comic I should have just posted an image of 'FIRST!' :)

Wow, for the first time EVER, MFD is funny and the first 8 user comics are terrible.

Why don't you make your favourite comments featured, instead of mentioning them here?

    Also, I didn't get this one. Boo-hoo.

  • PACE 2008-03-24 15:16
    True.
  • Tom 2008-03-24 15:42
I thought he was using some sort of singularity knife to cut a hole in spacetime and that the Godfather horse head scene was on the other side. Seriously.

But, yeah, toy horse, that makes sense too.
  • Disappointed 2008-03-24 16:33
Thank God. I've just figured out that I can create filters in Thunderbird for feeds. "Fun Day" is no longer "Mandatory".
  • zip 2008-03-24 16:42
    Well done!

  • AbbydonKrafts 2008-03-25 10:35
Nice concept. The random jabber reminds me of the parents on the Charlie Brown cartoons. Don't have any idea what they are saying. I like the punchline on this one, too.
  • AbbydonKrafts 2008-03-25 10:36
Oh God.. delegation! A co-worker and I complain about other departments doing that to us all the time. I think our supervisor finally scared the GM into stopping that, though.
  • AbbydonKrafts 2008-03-25 10:38
The redone face is MUCH better! I also like the bubble in the last one.

I like the comics. Please continue.

I've actually been looking for work for a couple of weeks now, and it always strikes me how awesome recruitment people think their offer is and how offended they get when you ask them why you should work for them instead of someone else (Answer usually is something about extra training or some strange tax avoiding remuneration scheme)

It's probably one of those pens that has 4 colors with little clicky things that allow you to select the color depending on which clicky thing you have pushed down.
  • belgariontheking 2008-03-26 09:37
Nice. I never noticed how Weedmaster P (green shirt) is androgynous. Considering his language most of the time, I would say he's male though.

    Good job.

BTW, the comic is not mine and I am not Jeffrey Rowland (goggles guy).
  • GF 2008-03-26 11:20
dude, seriously. coffee spray almost met monitor on that one.

  • Daniel Beardsmore 2010-05-23 18:11
I think I remember seeing that the first time around but must have forgotten to comment -- this is one of the best responses I've seen to date.
