Black sun in Trondheim is abnormal I'd agree. Had it been Tromsø, it would have been an innovative way of specifying that no, the sun will not rise today.

Ha, I remember that NaN sale on gog.com . The worst (or better) part of that happening is that I believe a few buyers got that game for free or with a lower price than the sale price. It took them just a few minutes before they corrected it.

Hasbro was running a "Save Your Token" campaign for Monopoly, in which they were allowing people to vote on which token they wanted removed from the existing set, and which new token (from a group of 5) to add to the set.

Scottie dog is one of the old set. Guitar was one of the proposed items. So the idea that DJ was voting isn't unreasonable.

(BTW, the guitar didn't make the cut. The iron was voted off and replaced by a cat.)

There's a second meaning when you put it to the left of an emoticon -- don't take it the wrong way, but this is the symbol for "asshat". I'll model it, since once it's seen it can't be unseen.

Not only that, but at the bottom it says "1. CLASSIC TOKENS (select one to sav...)" suggesting that voting is exactly what's happening here and faoileag needs to pull their head out of their ass.

I really don't get the Sky Drive one. I mean, if someone can afford over 16 exabytes of disk space today, surely paying a bit over 11 billion USD per year for 545 millenia won't be a problem. Specially once USD sees a hyper inflation. A bigger problem would be if sky-drive doesn't support auto resume. Imagine losing connection after 544 millenia.

Recently there was a big hoo haa because monopoly was retiring a piece and creating a new one - and people could vote on which they wanted to lose, and what new one they wanted to see. Looks like he's voting bye-bye doggie, hello guitar.

Methinks Mark was 100% correct on the 'vote'

Someone should take a look at a map. Trondheim is so far north that most of january the sun does not rise until well after 8:59 in the morning.

IIRC only the last two days of january had the sun up before 8:59. on december 22nd the sun rose at 10:02 !!

Except for these kinds of software never exit Beta stage. Playstation Home is still declared Beta and they just announced PS4.

Beta has become an excuse for, we are releasing our game/whatever under the pretense that the microtransactions that make us money take priority over the bug-fixes.

I've seen a certificate for a fraction where I've forgotten the numerator but the denominator was 200, i.e. some number of two-hundredths of a share. Now that certificates aren't used much any more, it's even easier for databases to store fractional holdings.
