Yo, I heard you like docking stations, so I put a docking station in your docking station...

I think the broken dialog box comes from a recent Windows Update. I haven't seen enough to track it down though.

Yeah, I hate it when a company forces a model to prominently display her ##IDS_BOOBS## just to manipulate us into buying their ##IDS_PRODUCTNAME##

I mean, I'm not falling for that stuff unless she's totally naked.

    not convincing me IDS_BOOBS++

In defense of Vodafone, InstallShield is one giant turd on a turtle crafted of turds on the back of an elephant made of a turd.

Unfortunately it is better than the tooling from Microsoft for building Windows Installers. That is alot like programming for Windows 3.1. "Here's some piss poor documentation of the APIs, and some build tools that have cryptic command line switches. It's a C API, so clearly you are smart enough to figure it out on your own."

True, i expect this from opensource, not from microsoft, these lasyassess.

Hotel check-in check-out time is not error. Think logical and you shall understand what the message is.

What, 11:00 noon is daylight savings time?

Noon comes earlier as you move further west.

But in spite of comming earlier as you move west, noon always arrives at 12:00 in the local time zone

--CAPTCHA: letatio (WTF is that? some twisted form of felatio?)

Not really a stretch to figure out what it means tho. Unlike the other really bad screens here, that one does make sense.

If you're going to fix something, fix it right!

I'm all for that - Irish Girl, totally naked, installing my software is my dream.

    Better change the sheets...

The docking station one makes perfect sense to me. The message means that the computer cannot be ejected because it is currently using a resource from the docking station.

    No WTF.

I'd guess that the Facebook one is from the FB API to the app developer. Who shouldn't be blindly displaying these messages, but acting on them.
See the driver hooks a function by patching the system core table, so its not safe to unload it unless another thread's about to jump in there and do its stuff, and you don't want to end up in the middle of invalid memory!

I'm not actually convinced the IE8 error message is a genuine IE8 error message. Microsoft is extremely thorough about their copyright and trademark/registered trademark symbols, which are completely lacking in that image.

Umm ... yes. That's why my post was a joke.

You see, it is obvious that the chicken crossed the road to get to the other side. It is funny because the hearer is expecting to get some explanation of why the chicken wanted to be on the other side of the road. When you tell him that the chicken crossed the road to get to the other side, you are pretty much just restating the fact that he crossed the road, and thus adding new new information. Do you get it now?

The "cannot eject" error is mostly likely due to Acrobat running. That sort of error happens even when you close the document on the USB drive - it seems to leave connections open to the file even when you think you have closed the document.

The Saleforce error is actually very impressive. No overflow on the minutes calculation and down to the seconds. Remember, if you're going to screw up, do it to the max.

    • About as long as reptiles have existed.

Yo Dawg, I heard you like docking stations. So I took your docking station and I docked it to a docking station so you could have a docking station docked to your docking station.

I just got one of those Docking Station notices two weeks ago. It's almost 2019. This is sad.
