No BS on this. I sent this to Alex originally. This is a repost from a few years ago. I am happy to report that the CEO's son in law is no longer working for us. He is now doing network security for a large drug manufacturer. Maybe over there he listened to the comments here and got a larger tub and maybe added electric eels to make it more secure.

just be glad it's not the US federal gov't.

it'd be $20M instead of $20K worth of equipment put at risk from crappy facilities management.

    captcha: "clueless".  indeed.

FYI, the gov'mnt/military don't pay dat much.  If a hammer (at ten dollars) and a enterprisey system implementation (at twenty million) were combined on the same invoice (bulk purchase), the gov'mnt averages the cost of all items (for allocation/reporting purposes) from the single invoice, putting the hammer at 10 million, 5 dollars which makes the system impl seem a lot cheaper as well.

20K of equipment $20,000? Kind of redundant, don't you think?

I am guessing that the guy who put the AC in here just assumed that ACs "magically" cool the air and was not even aware of an exhaust.  From the fishbowl water containment system, I'm pretty sure that the person didn't have a clue.

I've seen this so many times it's funny! I just found a new solution called a sensorProbe for our server room that covers us in case of over heating and and leakages etc.

    Really cheap too, www.akcp.com
