2.25: Rescued

  • Alex Papadimoulis 2008-09-23 08:49
    Here's the 2.24 picks:

Coming soon! ImageShack.us (which hosted quite a few of your comics) is currently down.

But don't let that stop you from using this one.

Get Your Free Stickers: I'll mail a WTF Sticker and an official award certificate (which may or may not actually be a post-it note that says "congrats!") to the winners. Assuming, of course, you haven't already gotten a sticker (unless you really want seconds), you post with your TDWTF account, and you have access to the email account associated with it. If you won, please contact me with your mailing address if you'd like a WTF sticker.

"Rescued", too bad the same couldn't be said for the entire MFD series. What a load of crap this is. It even stopped being funny. That's if you considered it funny in the first place.
  • Steve 2008-09-23 09:33
  • The End Is Here 2008-09-23 09:36
Second that! Scrap MFD and bring on a new OMGWTF Programming Contest!
  • Jason 2008-09-23 09:38
Yeah, no kidding. These MFD comics make me want to stick a fork in the eye of whomever conceived them. They detract from the site. Kill them, kill them!
  • Someone You Know 2008-09-23 09:52
  • amischiefr 2008-09-23 09:53
HAhahahahahahahahah... oh, I laughed until I cried. Cheers!
  • DoctorFriday 2008-09-23 09:54
I laughed at this one - Simply great!
  • please make it stop 2008-09-23 09:56
    priceless
  • frustrati 2008-09-23 09:58
    Very appropriate.

I can't believe I say something in defense of MFD, but at least it is appropriate for the site. Every time I forget how much they suck, I read one and go "W... T... F...?!?!?"

  • I walked the dinosaur 2008-09-23 10:09
On the phone, long long distance. Always met through such strong resistance. First you say, you're not busy, even if I wonder why you dismiss me.
  • TallGuy 2008-09-23 10:13
You sir, have definitely created a winner here. Truly awesome.
  • Me 2008-09-23 10:13
This would be a truly happy ending to MFD! Death to all TDWTF trolls!
  • paritybit 2008-09-23 10:20
Not only is this a great rip off the original hilarious far side cartoon. Its utterly true. I didn't think it could get any worse, but todays MFD is by far the most nonsensical and unfunny so far.
    Worst.
    Comic.
    Ever.

And to be honest, its really putting me off reading this website.
  • blah 2008-09-23 10:48
WTF was today's comic about!?! Not satisfied with making it totally humorless, you have to make it totally incomprehensible as well? Just stop making them!
  • Zylon 2008-09-23 10:49
Today's comic appeared to be missing half its dialog.

    The good half, that is.
  • blah 2008-09-23 10:52
Great comic (the far side one, not the shitfest that is MFD.
  • foobar 2008-09-23 10:53
I was going to click on a TDWTF ad and patronize a sponsor, but after reading today's horrible-yet-again MFD, I won't.
  • Technical Thug 2008-09-23 11:32
All the books in the lower-right-hand corner of the comic are either backwards or rotated 180 degrees. What's up with that, Gary Larson?
  • ferd 2008-09-23 11:35
    God I wish.
  • ferd 2008-09-23 11:36
What will happen in the next installment of MFD?

Will Alex realize that he isn't funny? Will the illustrator realize he can't draw? Will the readers be subjected to more of this crap?

    Stay tuned. Or don't.
  • Dudley H. 2008-09-23 11:43
All the books in the lower-right-hand corner of the comic are either backwards or rotated 180 degrees. What's up with that, Gary Larson?

Those are books for left-handed readers.

    winner!!!
  • Steve 2008-09-23 12:11
He who fails at failing... wins. So it is a double negative and you're actually complimenting MFD. What the hell is wrong with you?
  • SomeCoder 2008-09-23 12:13
    EPIC WIN.
  • Steve 2008-09-23 12:14
    Okay, fixed. . .

    Sheesh.
  • D. T. North 2008-09-23 12:18
Everyone always deserves a little Cake, now and then.

    Awesome.
  • LOL 2008-09-23 12:23
That's not fair, morbius only trolls in 95% of his posts - the other 5% occasionally contain some vaguely relevant information.
  • Someone You Know 2008-09-23 12:41
I didn't know Magenta fought in the Forever War!
  • Mr Fuzz 2008-09-23 12:59

Awesome. And succinctly illustrates how MFD is doing it wrong.
  • kshade 2008-09-23 13:39
    If only...
  • SomeCoder 2008-09-23 13:58
I agree, today's comic was missing half it's dialog. How do we go from sign a waver to Gilroy saying "don't get your hopes up"? Was there supposed to be some mental telepathy between Magent and Gilroy?

This comic really sucks and needs to be killed.
  • belgariontheking 2008-09-23 13:59

  • swordfishBob 2008-09-24 15:49
Aren't ebay sellers always optimistic about "slightly damaged" items? If something is easy to repair, then why isn't it already?
  • Kittens Make The Best Salsa 2008-09-24 19:05
"Slightly damaged" is ebay code for "Utterly broken and beyond hope of repair. Enjoy ur purchase!"

  • George 2009-06-08 16:42
Oh yeah, a clipart visual Groundhog day done in MS Paint is much better than a drawn cartoon with characters and settings. Not sure how that works, but I'll bite.

I like how the lowest dregs of the internet Geek feudal structure feed off critiquing work. Kinda' wish they stayed content bitching about how George Lucas betrayed himself.
