Add post comment failed - Sorry we're hosed now.
Why wouldn't the peas last for a hundred years? Looking at the ingredients (if you read upside-down) they contain NOTHING but salt) I am surprised B.L. did not "Add" what looks like a pair of sunglasses "to Dictionary" ! |
I guess those peas aren't young and tender anymore... they must be old and wrinkly by now.

The true casualty of the millennium bug.....

It looks like you're about to experience an error left over from Windows 3.1. Would you like to:
* Upgrade to the next version of Windows, which really truly swears to be a total rewrite this time? * Ignore this message and proceed to lose all your files? * Install Linux |
"So, what about this y2k problem"
"They fixed that 900 years ago!" </1000 years in the future> |
We had a Cobol parser once that when you printed code it showed as 1908.
As a side note the Linux kernel will roll over its date in a few hundred years. I CAN'T WAIT |
The real wtf is the lack of 'W'
TRWTF is that the date on the peas actually reads September 19, 2009 ('09).
I mean, if it was 1901, or 1969, or something like that, then it might be a valid date parse error, but come on. It's a valid date, even if it's in an ambiguous format. |
Ok, what letter exactly is this guy trying to use? Goggles? It gives you the option to add "goggles" to the dictionary! I suggest you do this.

I had bought my first daughter a couple of the Microsoft Actimates dolls back in the late 90s, a barney and a DW (Arnold's sister, some little rat looking thing). my younger daughter is 4 now and she was playing with DW but the batteries were dead so we replaced them. Setting the date on it gives you a range of 1998-2007. its not even a full 4 bits those bastards.

Why would he? They do nothing Isn't this meme getting a little old? |

TRWTF is that you were willing to have a Barney in your house. That thing would have driven me demented. |

Fortunately, it's just a short drive. Ba Da Bing. Thank you, I'll be here all week. Try the veal. |
OH NO, it's Y2K....time to hit the shelter again.
Sometimes I wish I had one... I make it up with a punching bag, but punching Barney would be a lot more satisfying. |
It is good to see the old millennium bug. I have missed you. Thanks for all the work you have generated!
People of a different political persuasion may argue that 'W' is the real WTF. Also 'Y' is missing. (and 'w' and 'y') |
Actually, it could be interesting to hack: http://www.ics.uci.edu/~jpd/barney/ |

You hit the shelter and find all your tinned goods are a century out of date. Now what do you do? |
It's not Y2K, it's September 19, '09 (as in 09-19-2009)

Do you mean 29 years? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Year_2038_Problem |
No one has commented yet on the fact that the peas say "Publix Young & Tender". And now they have. Try and bring the comments out of the gutters now. MWHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

TRWTF is that in this day and age they can't print nicely formatted, unambiguous dates on food packages. Is "Sept. 19, 2009" really rocket science? |
Obviously goggles sperm to the Cth power couldn't be "W" or "Y", that would have been a huge typo. |

TRWTF is the fact that they run a Unix program, ported to Windows NT, hacked together by a bunch of Perl scripts, written by people who only know VB6. Come to think of it, there were a lot of WTFs there. |

If you run 64bit linux you are all right AFAIK
More likely is that they missed the space between 19 and 09.

In case you'e not jokingL I'm purty sure that's just September 19th, 2009, without enough whitespace.
It would probably be obvious to anybody using any normal common sense that the date on the peas is September 19, 2009. Sure, it's a somewhat ambiguous and not well formatted date but leave it to us IT folks to interpret it as a Y2K issue.

Sell by 1909... Let me see what the Bachelor's Extended Food Stuffs Usability Date Extender chart says...
... ... Okay, they should STILL be edible today and until 2012... We can begin to consider throwing them out around 2030... |
Haven't we all had enough "W" to last us a lifetime? |
Did you really think you could use them forever without purchasing an update? Did you read the EULA? |
We already had the Apple one on the sidebar - 6 months ago!

But their way saves 4 characters worth of ink. Multiply that by the number of bags of frozen peas... |

how about not the y2k bug but a spacing issue. Sept 19 09
As in next year, peas fine, k thanks. Common sense people. |
No rocket scientists would use SEP 1909 as well. |
Yep and printing "SEP 1909" instead of "SEP 19 09" saves a whole space worth of ink. Omg, the profits! |
HAS ANYBODY MENTIONED THAT ITS SUPPOSED TO BE SEPT 19 2009
...of course, had they just written the date properly "19 Sep 09", even a lack of spaces would still give a clear, unambiguous BBdate.
It's got 20 OMG's worth of sodium. Sounds like a lot to me.

The "Windows - No Disk" error is actually a virus/trojan.. you might want to run a virus scan...
