Will this comment will be more efficient if I partition it, putting swap on its own volume? And do the four whole fried chickens and the Coke each need a separate volume?

Empty Case II was a huge disappointment. I think the producers were just trying to cash in on the success of the first Empty Case.

ok so we have gone above and beyond trhe print it out and place it on a wooden table; now we print it out on a wooden table.

But where do you get a printer that can print on wooden tiles?

I'd argue that Empty Case was not a WTF, it's good planning. redbox requires cases for returning rented movies, and late movies have a substantial late fee. If you lost the original case (or your dog ate it, or your child somehow cut it ino small sqares using only safety scissors), without a method of getting a replacement case, you're SOL.

You know, I saw Empty Case I and II. The sequel sucked, because they just reused all the same jokes from the first one.

Ahhh there is nothing quite like the delicious irony of the wooden link printed on the wood(en) chip photographed on the wooden table to start my day.

Empty Case isn't really a WTF. redbox will sell you an empty case if you broke / forgot / etc. yours since you can't return a DVD to the machine without one.....

I might develop a game called "Empty Case" just to sue them :)

I see. So you get "empty case", pop your orphaned DVD in it and return it. But a week later you want to avoid the hefty fine for not returning "empty case", which you no longer have. Ah-hah, there must be an "empty meta-case", which you get, put your (missing) "empty case" in, and return that. But then you need to return "empty meta-case", so you need "empty meta-meta-case" .......

I'm not startled by a WTF in computer code. Being so complex yet easy to change makes for a low barrier and high attempt frequency for that reaction. But how does "View Larger Sample" get printed on real objects from a successful manufacturer?

My guess is that these wood samples stand in a display where only the top three inches of each panel are exposed. The note makes it clear that you can pull the sample out to see more of the surface and the hole is for gripping (rather than hanging).

No - they are doing you a favor. $1/day is $25 for 25 days. They are cutting your losses at that point by assuming you lost it instead of continuing to charge you $1/day in perpetiuty.

Exactly, it's a lousy way to buy DVDs, but it's actually quite reasonable if you lose a DVD. Try and see what Blockbuster will charge you if you lose one of their DVDs.

Reminds me of that print catalog I receive with all the Add To Cart buttons printed underneath the products.

1. Skot's requirement was to print on the wooden tiles which most of these printers will do. The print heads are stationary, the product moves beneath the head on a conveyor belt or similar transport system, inks are available to suit many substrates. Obviously a close-grained wood would give better results than, say, balsa.

2. Given a custom-designed transport system, a wooden table is not, in principle, impossible.
