Real Player / Demographic Data / Content Preferences: Living. Living? WTF? I guess I can update it for my dead ancestors or something...
TerraStation:
Of course! It says OK right there!
Admin
The best before date on that bottle is "March 25th 2010". Best before dates are often presented like this (and you know it submitter - so stop wasting our time).

The credit card is a military star card.

CYA
P.S.: sorry for my bad english
Admin
The RealPlayer info one is obvious enough. You're only allowed to register if you are 18 years old or over. So back when they made the form in 2006, they set the latest possible birthdate to 18 years prior (1988), in reflection of this fact. Of course, hard-coding those values into the drop-down was a mistake.
Admin
Pretty obvious that the credit card offer is not a software bug or even a misprint. The leading digit was just scratched off by people with nothing better to do.
Will the next Error'd have one of those automatic hand dryers from a gas station that says "Press Butt<scratch> to activate?"
Admin
How much do I owe you?
That's fair. What if I get the extra options?
Whoa, now that's a bit excessive.

I once had a car park ticket that had never been paid because the park had opened the exists following a problem with all payment machines.
I tried to put this ticked in a machine every once in a while, and the price would grow until a amount of a few hundred euros, then reset to the minimal payment andstart growing again.

Love the Scottish Power one: why is "BAD DICTIONARY" only a problem half-way through the word occupier? Is there something wrong with "pier"?
But the best bit is the fact they gave "Mr Occupier" an initial!
Admin
Is comment getted?
Admin
Now we know what it means when people are "sent to Coventry": it's a euphemism for being charged huge amounts by car park operators.

Obviously the last one means 12 minutes for salads, and 25 minutes for everything else!
Admin
Obviously, you were supposed to buy the package underneath that one as well, which contained the remainder of your cooking instructions beyond the asterisk.

I wonder what Europe's Most American Supermarket would be?
Admin
The firmware one isn't that bad.
It's typical when the program was written for a different language (say, Japanese) and lacking Unicode support, while your OS is set to English (or, any language other than Japanese).
If your OS was set to Japanese (or Chinese, or whatever the case), then you'd actually see the proper message, written in the proper language of course.

The Terastation error looks like it is in Shift-JIS encoding. If you run the app in Japanese locale (for example using AppLocale) it'll show up as proper Japanese text.

The real wtf is installing RealPlayer
Admin
I suspect #2 is a 30-second photoshop job. I can't believe that something so blatant would go up and stay up.

't Amerikaantje
Admin
No, TRWTF is installing RealPlayer and then deciding to give them your personal information.
Admin
American's most European Supermarket? What's that supposed to mean? Over-priced and you have to bag your own groceries? Serious, where is begin the "most European" supermarket a selling point?
Admin
If you are short on characters then at least move the space somewhere else - ie "MAR25 10".
Admin
Admin
TRWTF is that the 'guy in the machine' used some thought and didn't just assume the £405.20 was correct because the computer said so.
Admin
The RealPlayer one is surprising. You'd think people born before 1988 would know to avoid it like the plague
Admin
If you are short on characters, the right thing to do is printing it as 25MAR10.
Admin
Do what in the who now?
Admin

You don't have much faith in people.
Its far more likely that the % off is variable and numbers are supposed to be added (maybe magnetic) to it to show the current discount. Add a 1 or a 2 and it becomes 10% or 20%.
For 15% you just have a magnet that covers the 0.
Admin
If people born after 1988 are using the Internet, I want them caught and shot now. Aren't you too busy "texting" or whatever you kids do now?
I think the human race should have stopped reproduction a year or two after I was born -- anyone younger than me by more than that is pretty much worthless.
I have also seen them on my lawn.
Admin
Meh, you've obviously never tried to park in the short-stay carpark at Heathrow for more than an hour then. £400 is about right.
Admin
Alex, for the mother farking love of Peter, Paul, and Mary, please fix the Content-Type on your God-forsaken CAPTCHA image. img/jpeg is not a valid content-type.
I mean, seriously... is that what IIS sends by default? Is IIS really that retarded or is that the fault of whomever designed the CAPTCHA?
Admin
You knock Auchan now, but what happens the next time you need to buy prosciutto, slippers, and new tires AT THE SAME TIME?
Admin
Calm down, cowboy. What do you want the mime-type to be if not image/jpeg?
Admin
Could be a Pick database. Dictionary files can have code in them to transform data, similar to what can be done in a SQL view, only trickier, more powerful and WAY more cryptic and obscure.
Admin
The other thing to do is to park in a garage all day, and then go up to the entrance on foot , have the machine give you a new ticket, and use that one to exit, paying the minimum. Profit!
Admin
He seems to imply the captcha uses "img/jpeg" instead of "image/jpeg", apparently. I am unable to verify this because my telnet client sucks and I'm too lazy to investigate further.
Admin
Nice. But wouldn't 10 be a bit excessive?
Admin
The real WTF is "America's Most European Supermarket"
Hahahah like that is possible!!!
