So these amazing developers who were sitting in front of excel sheets all day couldn't figure out how to write basic scripts to do conversions for them, and just pretend they were doing it by hand?
Even if your manager sucks, it behooves you to find ways to make your own job easier even when being squished by a rock.

i think that means the Colonel dictated the message to a secretary, who typed it for him, because he not only can't use a computer, but distrusts them so much he won't even read the screen!
