Seems we don't have permission to read the article but wouln't it have been better if we weren't even allowed to list it? Now it's a blatant challenge to hack the article.

So, apparently I'm on a need-to-know basis, and I don't need to know. Thanks, Security!

No, more like "HR Dept Power Trip".

And the "almost" simply means: while I have not yet worked in an environment as dysfunctional as the one described in the article, I did spent some time in an internet startup where I basically did nothing all day because the head of IT took me on because the organizational chart mandated a second software developer (beside him) as a backup, but didn't fancy the idea of sharing responsibility at all.

But I didn't sit on my thumbs. As I said: so many things to do...

Well, no, it's French, and yes, avril(*) (French) is the same thing as April (English). Curiously, French for "16" is "16"...

(*) Month and day-of-week names in French are not capitalised unless they are the first word of the sentence (or the text is all-caps, etc.).

A few days later, Steven's entire team received an email stating they were in violation of Cyber Security policy for installing "malicious, unapproved" software on their SDE machines. The message ended with a sinister promise: Disciplinary actions are forthcoming.

TRWTF is that Steven and his entire team didn't respond to this email with "Fuck off".
