That "Tulinen Salmiakki" sounds promising (tulinen = hot/fiery). Haven't tried those myself yet but I'll have to buy a bag today and give them a go. By the looks of those I'll have to dare you to bite one straight away...

Wow, I got two souvenirs posted in the same TDWTF entry. Guess I win teh Internets! w00t!
FWIW, the Smokey Bear Motel in Capitan is a nice little place, even if you forget to bring your web server. Just don't try to sneak in your pets, and don't use the bathroom towels to wipe off your muddy equipment -- they'll charge you. (Not firsthand knowledge, but it's posted on the door of each room.)
I must have taken a wrong turn, because I never did get to see Exception in concert. Hope they tour again in oh-eleven. I've got all their hits, but I especially like their old stuff. I've been singing "SYN ERR IN 10" since 1982. (Fortunately, the Live Band Karaoke at The Loft is awesome -- and equally error-prone.)

One of the radio stations here in Canberra is now replacing its automation system as the current one runs on OS/2.

You should find some finnish or dutch people to send you the Salmiakki liquor. (Salmiakki in Dutch is called Drop. And we're tied for first place when it comes to Salmiakki consumption. And the Dutch are actually the biggest producers of Salmiak in Europe...)
So, if someone with access to the stuff is reading this; send the man some Dropshot or KoskenKorva Salmiakki! (Yeah, it really is called dropshot in the netherlands. Liquorice flavoured spirits with 20% alcohol!)

the bronze sportabzeichen is much more than the certificate of consolation of the bundesjugendspiele. For the latter, you just have to participate at the games, held annually at your local school and don't score high enough to get another certificate (I took it approximately 13 years home, while my classmates got the real certificates), for the first you actually have to prove some sort of ability to do sport.
