"Up to 70% discount" means the actual discount amount may be (and is likely to be) less than 70% off, which is exactly what happened. Other games/products being offered might have a 70% discount. Overhyped marketing, yes, but not a WTF.

Now that you say it, -43 is less than 70, when I think about it.

Isn't the WTF that the price is higher than the regular price? That's not a discount.

I think KDE has rather a problem with its "aptitude" (the installation tool, disclaimer: I like KDE). Also, aptitude is not even available anymore in KDE despite the docs saying otherwise.

I love ads for working at home that say something like “Earn up to $10,000 a month or more.” What does that mean? Any number from zero to infinity is “up to 10,000 or more.”

I've seen that sort of data validation problem before--sorry, but when you have one address with multiple subdivisions within it you sometimes end up with addresses with odd characters. When you have building/floor/unit you usually don't just mash them together.

Nice try to form a German past participle. Bad luck you hit an irregular verb, though.

But maybe I have forgetted something here, too :)

Maybe because aptitude is not a KDE tool? It's a Debian tool, a companion to the APT suite.

Up to 10k a month or more than a month maybe? :)

The first screenshot isn't really a WTF because "using" is not the same as "running". macOS leaves some applications running even when all of its windows are closed and the user is no longer using it, and those take up memory (although their memory may be compressed), and they take up address space.

    It's a 70% increase, not discount.

  • (nodebb)

    Pretty sure that's a 43% increase.

In this case there is only one input field for address number. So that is not a subdivison or a unit, that is a building (address) number. Also, it is correct based on Apple field description.

    Correct.

What does that mean? Any number from zero to infinity is “up to 10,000 or more.”

    "Vergessen", not "gevergessen".
