I don't need to. I don't have my own website that supposed to be amusing. I'm a consumer, expressing my distaste with a product that never should have been made. Trying to save the sanity of future readers by encouraging the removal of this comic from the internet.
Also, be fair. Some have come up with versions of the comic that are quite funny. Mine just happen to be abrasive (one was so abrasive that it was removed from the internet as well.

MFD has become the equivalent of banner advert sized signatures on forums that only amuse the original poster. Here's one step further than the dialog free version...

Technically speaking, I guess the advertisers are the consumers and the readers are the product. But if the readership drops due to the inclusion of say, extremely pointless and unfunny content, then the advertisers will be upset, and they will leave too.
Some of the responses are a lot funnier than the original.
Think of it this way - what if your favorite "free" (ad-supported) over-the-air radio or TV station started playing annoying, boring or offensive content (or at least, moreso than usual). You would be perfectly justified in complaining, and guess what? People do complain to TV and radio networks all the time.

BTW, I hope you are not implying that blocking ads is "freeloading". Maybe you would also agree with some of TV execs who claim that skipping TV ads is "stealing".
Do you watch/listen to EVERY commercial that plays on your favorite TV/radio station?

A consumer is someone who consumes. In this case poor quality cartoon content. There's nothing that says money/goods have to change hands. So you'll have to try a bit harder to be a dick.

I also want to point out that I also contribute to the content of the website via the forums. I can tell that neither of you trolls (bowser and ~) do because if you did, you would be "registered" users.
On the subject of advertising: No I don't remove ads. Just today I clipped an ad from this site and posted a comment about it in the forums. This statement does nothing more than prove that I view the ads, which is more than you can say. Do YOU view and click on ads? Arrogant prick.

We have. One strip was amended with a better joke that a registered user supplied. Since then, the strips just trudge on.

Well, it looks like the TDWTF supports posting (and receiving feedback on) your own version of the comic... so, where are these supposedly funnier comics? There are a few clever jabs, but not a single funnier* one.
The southpark one I thought was hysterical. But then again, that episodes of SP was great.
