I could use a CD32 running Workbench 3.1's Notepad (it was notepad in 1.3, I think... does it still exist in 3.1? I'd use the shell if not.) with a keyboard taken from an A500 and rewired to fit the DIN socket. :)

Your life is richer for having known this.

Everybody should have a go at making a Cobol Bill-a-like.

For example, you could make him into Richard O'Brien from the Crystal Maze.

Save the original Cobol Bill to your hard drive, edit him (or Picard if you like.) Post them as a reply to this.

Make sure that you don't completely mutilate him OR RESCALE HIM, and I'll line them up and put them all together into an immense animated gif.

    Matt.C:
    - People who do comics about people dismissing the people criticising the comic.

That is, unless you want people to start criticising Irish Girl? We would have to kill you.

Unfortunately Cobol Bill's speech bubble was too small to go into the irony of making a comic criticising people dismissing the people criticising the comic without going to 6 points...

And I was trying to find a way to weave Irish girl into it but there's only so much time you can get away with copy n pasting in paint when you're supposed to be working...

    Siloria:
As someone who regularly comments on the people who add nothing productive or humerous to the discussion I assume this is somewhat aimed at me.

No Siloria - Your cartoon was funny.

The freaky part of this is that I was going to write that as a reply to someone else, but ended up doing this instead on inspiration.

    .. Speechless...

    Anyway, a transliteration:

Panel 1 Sometimes I wish we live under the sea - imagine how delicious!

Panel 2 My life is solitude

Panel 3 Today I've discovered that I am pregnant

Panel 4 Liar! You've succumbed to madness!

Panel 5 Ah! But it is you who have become mad!

Panel 6 Goat Bicycle pump! Goat! My pants are cheese!

    .. right, that was weird

    Do it.

Ah yes, the old "If you can't do any better, you can't complain" gambit. What a load of bullshit. You don't have to be good at something yourself to recognise its quality. I'm no great chef, but I can tell if something tastes terrible.
