Not seeing the WTF here at all.

Instead it looks like Dave still has a few things to learn about this profession. Namely: if we don't have time to read help files (much less write them) then we certainly don't have time to read your resume. Maybe Dave should spend a bit of time reading the job postings.

Dave here to respond to a couple comments. First and foremost they took some creative liberities but the jist is still there:

    1. The position they told me about was generic App Dev and the company focused on .NET. On my resume I listed VB.NET, C# but not ASP.NET. They did not mention ASP in the phone interview or the job description, just generic .NET app dev.

    2. I mentioned in interview that I had cursory ASP.NET experience, I designed a database that interacted with ASP.NET code.

    3. I don't know if this went through a recruiter or not, I think I dropped off resume at a job fair but he had an up-to-date version of my resume in front of him (and of course I brought many backups) but he never once glanced at it.

    4. I cannot express how cocky this interviewer was. He was a team lead or low level manager, walked in like he was a badass out of the old west, plunked down in the chair, kicked up his feet and tossed me a marker.

    5. I didn't have pizza that day.

    6. RE: Public Transportation - I had never been to Chicago before on my own so taking Greyhound or Amtrak didn't cross my mind. Plus they were pretty fuzzy on the end time of the interview.
