    I get things like this all the time from TigerDirect. The sale price is 229.00 buy while quantities last and under it in smaller print is the normal price 199.00 or similar, I think I got one as recently as Monday with an incorrect price. I just love the fact they call it a stupid deal, the irony is nice.

    This is actually funny, I picked up on that deal (Its was actually reg 14.99, stupid price 9.99 they fixed it later on). Just a couple of caps and a higer gain transistor later and it was a decent sounding pedal.

    For $9.99 regularly, that's not a very good distortion pedal. I don't think raising the price increases the quality.

    the REAL WTF is that my company uses Visual Sourcesafe for 80 gigs of data and getting latest of anything takes so long that I stop and browse websites and forget to get back to work when it's done.

    I've spent quite a bit on money on that site. What's even more of a WTF is their stock management system. The due dates on items not stock in the warehouse are horribly wrong. If it's out of stock, just get it somewhere else cause they'll hose you.

    I suppose I should clarify, I made a ten dollar pedal sound like a 30 dollar pedal. I didn't turn a rouge pedal into a marshall stack.

    Agreed. Even a distortion pedal should have good tone. And believe me, there is a difference. I haven't tried out a Rogue pedal, but I did make the mistake of purchasing a DOD Grunge pedal before I knew any better. Compared to BOSS/Marshall/Mesa Boogie it sounds like trash.

    Agreed. Even a distortion pedal should have good tone. And believe me, there is a difference. I haven't tried out a Rogue pedal, but I did make the mistake of purchasing a DOD Grunge pedal before I knew any better. Compared to BOSS/Marshall/Mesa Boogie it sounds like trash.

    The rouge was soo freaking tinny it was actually painfull to listen too. It also did nothing to smooth out its trasistor switching distorion. Horrid sound.

    Yes - it is much more fun to track down some randomly missing semicolon or curly brace in a 10,000 line Perl program... I've actually used both (and other languages) extensively and find Python the better solution for small or large jobs - save imbedded and real-time applications (which I would use C or Assembly for).
