    The "for - select" pattern is designed for round robins. The "for - select" pattern is not designed for random selections. It's just a matter of dumb luck that can serve as a backup ... unless the NSA interfered with the call to rand in the loop.

    It sounds far fetched, but server providers do really stupid crap like this. I know one GSP that let you FTP into your server files and muck about with whatever you wanted. These physical servers were shared between multiple server applications for different users. The WTF? No user access restrictions whatsoever. Even though you could only FTP into your own files, you could chuck a mod for your server app in there which could access the entire server (including other people's server applications). They've since removed full FTP support (now you can only access the data files and game saves) and force you to add pre-approved mods via a control panel. During said process many people found their servers mysteriously down, and when they came back up hours later many installed mods simply vanished, all with a conspicuous lack of email announcements.
