"If there is no problem, ignore this message' I LOVE IT!!
Admin
It's like a foreign graduate student hopped up on Confucius terminology had a hay day.
Admin
Looks almost Babelfished, honestly.
Admin
Another developer screwed by babelfish.com ?
Admin
Come on! Those aren't even real words anymore. You're just making shit up now.
Admin
Seems more like the result of an unholy cooperation between babelfish and babblefish.
Admin
"Oooohhhhh..."
Admin
I think that was his point...
Admin
Sometimes verbosity is a good thing though, (I'm thinking about the time that MS Outlook told me "could not load the set of folders"...that's when I switched to Thunderbird).
But running things through babelfish from English to Chinese, back to English isn't helping anyone.
Admin
LMAO! I liked the intro more than the screenshot.
That really made me laugh out loud. Luckily my co-workers already think I'm crazy, so it doesn't draw attention when I do.
Admin
How many people looked up those words just in case?
Admin
uburbulous is a perfectly cromulent word.
Admin
Ummmmm..........Wow.
Admin
Anyone want to guess what language the author of the contents of that dialog usually uses? It's sure not English...
Admin
Haha, love the Simpsons reference...
Admin
Wha?
Admin
Admin
This makes me miss Paula Bean. The pig go.
Admin
I am firmly, it had more truths to run in the source language in it through a freedom on-line translation program in front of.

All our base are belong to us!
Admin
You know, I told that to somebody who looked it up and kept arguing that it was... They thought they had won the argument. I don't think they ever got the joke. :(
Admin
Google says it used to be korean ;)
Admin
Really? Let me go look it up. I swear it is. [/Friday]
Admin
On a hunch, I pushed this whole thing through Babelfish into simplified Chinese and back to English. Now it's much more readable:
Here's the original text, so you don't have to type it out yourself:

please to reference important software brand egletium-wise, so avoid we mustlike.
Admin
This post is scrumtrulescent.
Admin
While cromulent may have been a made-up word, it certainly isn't anymore. I've used it in conversation (entirely by accident) and people seemed to understand what it meant (either coincidentally or by context).

all your words are belong to us!!!

LORD POLONIUS
This business is well ended. My liege, and madam, to expostulate What majesty should be, what duty is, Why day is day, night night, and time is time, Were nothing but to waste night, day and time. Therefore, since brevity is the soul of wit, And tediousness the limbs and outward flourishes, I will be brief: your noble son is mad: Mad call I it; for, to define true madness, What is't but to be nothing else but mad? But let that go.

`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe: All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe.
"Beware the Jabberwock, my son! The jaws that bite, the claws that catch! Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun The frumious Bandersnatch!"
He took his vorpal sword in hand: Long time the manxome foe he sought -- So rested he by the Tumtum tree, And stood awhile in thought.
And, as in uffish thought he stood, The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame, Came whiffling through the tulgey wood, And burbled as it came!
One, two! One, two! And through and through The vorpal blade went snicker-snack! He left it dead, and with its head He went galumphing back.
"And, has thou slain the Jabberwock? Come to my arms, my beamish boy! O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!' He chortled in his joy.
`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe; All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe.
(This poem was so good that many of the nonsense words made their way into the dictionaries.)

yessah! Zero-wing!!

Found Engrish more than one.

It certainly is still a made-up word. It is gibberish, nonsense. Regardless off your view on what its definition should be and no matter how many of your friends want to act smart by pretending to know words they're unfamiliar with it is still just a meaningless word that was made up for The Simpsons.
Admin
Me weet why you mean people the pret people returns it this no English speaks. I am one of the ten most raised programmers and the developers in the world. In my whole life, I made only 37 insecten! (yes, I have! geteld) but when bad English to write to me made you to it pret of me in spite of my intelect higher. It is the proof that not to leave intelligence in America east!
Admin
/the best way to suck the humor out of a reference is to point at it and scream "I get it!"
Admin
It is still a made-up word, but it is not meaningless. Just because a word is made-up does not prevent it from having meaning. See "Jabberwocky" (conveniently posted above) for some great examples of this; also, see http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=cromulent for a definition of the "meaningless" word.

Where is the OK, Retry, and Cancel buttons?
Admin
It's "All YOUR base". You fail.
captcha - gygax, creator of D&D. (hehe, I'm not a nerd.)

"ENGLISH, mtherfcker!!! Do you speak it?"
captcha: muhahaha (rather apropos...)
Admin
Yes but what were the source and destination languages?
Admin
What kind of fertilizer is he using?
Admin
the program this came from should be used as fertilizer

Maybe the window was called Capture Support Manager so someone would capture a support manager to tell them what this really means.

This is why we don't let engineers write anything that a customer will ever have to see, and why there aren't legions of sinophone technical writers smashing the gates of Rome to take my job.

I didn't invent the word "uburbulous." Alex came up with it for Enter The Matrix.
Admin
Ok I'll admit it I actually had to check....flame on I don't care.
"uburbulous words will klologe readers if they have deblionic vocabularies"
uburbulous - doesn't come up at dictionary.reference.com, though is found by google (though it brings up a lot of Matrix references not any actual definition that I could find).
klologe - Nothing @ dictionary. Two non-English references on google.
deblionic - Nothing @ dictionary. Google says "Did you mean Dublin" and returns nothing.
