    I think they should quit complaining, since registered users like us don't have to jack around with captchas, so if they're not willing to do that, they can quitderbitchin.

    Maybe the "programmer" only knew CSS 1. An assumption based on that :hover wasn't included in CSS 1.



    Maybe the "programmer" had a "requirement" to "support" browsers that support CSS 1 but not CSS 2?

    lynx, links, w3m. Some of us still use those. We also surf with Javascript disabled.

    With the exception of the javascript issue, text based browsers don't stop you from registering.  admittedly, lack of javascript does make the site difficult to navigate.
