Crap, i see that many of my Colchester blads have already posted those two roundabouts, so here's a third:

    http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=51.886087,0.903666&ie=UTF8&ll=51.886087,0.903666&spn=0.000992,0.002167&t=k&z=19

The WTF is that there are traffic lights on the roundabout. Which kind of defeats the whole point of a roundabout.

We have trafficlights on larger roundabouts all the time in the netherlands, it's perfectly normal here.

More nasty junctions are this one (lights all the way round, and you can't ever see further than the next turn-off, despite there being several to some places...) and this set (a stinking hazard because there are no lights on them anywhere, and there's an IKEA just off the map to the south west). As I understand it, these junctions are bad enough and busy enough that Our Beloved Government (hah!) may be persuaded to do something to improve them...

That reminds me of this beauty a bit closer to home. And if you look a little to the east, you'll see the legendary Wigan Pier

The strange thing about the "Magic Roundabout" is that most of the time it really does work... most of the traffic is usually on the supermarket side of it, so you can go round the other way when it's busy.

Students eh ... Do you work at the uni by any chance? It's a bit of a wtf of road engineering in itself.

Yeah, when one 'side' of the roundabout is closed off you really notice - the traffic builds up a lot more. It's more sane than it looks - which is more than can be said about the north station roundabout.

My wife works at the uni - although I was a student there a few years ago. The room numbering system alone is worthy of a WTF, didn't think that the roads were too bad although perhaps it's a relative thing!

I've not actually driven through the M60/M56 junction, which is strange since it is in my area ... spagetti junction on the other hand I've driven over (on the M6) many times ... it's actually rather more interesting from ground level heh.
Or water level. IIRC none of the roads are actually on the ground, and there's a canal underneath it. From that angle it looks like some weird piece of modern art.

Pretty good resolution. However still not enough to find my golf balls on the grass.

I have the photo of the same NYC subway sign. Guess someone beat me to it.

I've seen the "yo-yo the RRM" error on other transit websites.

And God forbid that Car.exe should crash...

Passenger.exe crashed? Well, I gues that's better than driver.exe crashing!
    Or car.exe.
