In addition to biciyles being not allowed and permitted, I see there's a balnket ban on all trumpets. They're very strict on that particular rule.

If the trams in question are run like the ones in Lille, then bicycles are indeed simultaneously permitted and forbidden. That is, they are permitted in the first and last carriage, and forbidden in the two middle carriages.

  • Synchronos (unregistered)

What the earlier poster said: The sticker tells the rules when the bicycles are permitted, and when not. No WTF, or even anything out of usual there.

Regarding "4 LOOP": Shirley Mike should have a car with a plate saying "NEXT" next to that car.

"I guess the name doesn't apply to their logistics."

Looks like they normally ship dozens and dozens of widgets per box. You would rather they maintain a separate inventory of smaller mailers for the rare occasion where somebody requests just a couple of samples?

Also, does nobody else "Print Preview" their documents and omit the last page if it doesn't contain any important information?

Actually it is. The purpose of the pictograms is to communicate the message to people who can't read that crazy moon language that the text is in. They fail at that by providing two contradicting pictograms.

  • Jesper (unregistered)

The last one is not a real WTF.

The small print below the bicycles explain under what circumstances you can, and under what circumstances you cannot take a bicycle with you. For example, during rush hour when it's very busy you cannot take your bicycle with you in the subway.

I agree. It's simply not worth the time for a warehouse worker to run around hunting different boxes. I do the same when I send circuit board spare parts. The price for shipping is still the same. Also, you can't place a shipping label on a 1x1x2" box...

No, the pictograms show what each block of text is about: * Tickets * Smoking prohibition * When bicycles are allowed * When bicycles are not allowed * Rollerskate prohibition * Foot-on-seat prohibition * Audible music prohibition * Food and drink prohibition * Presence of CCTV cameras * Something to do with pushchairs ("buggies" for the USians among you)

Also, you should look more closely at the picture. There are two crazy moon languages there. The second one is English.

I can't quite make out what it is the tram sign is advising us not to kick, but perhaps it is the stroller zooming off the right edge of the sign. You guys must live in some kind of police state. Kicking strollers off the train is perfectly reasonable.

I always wondered what (if anything) those anti-print advocates were thinking when they attached that message. Does their website explain exactly how printing a page destroys the environment? I'd google it myself but I don't want to waste the electrons. They're so scarce you know.
