Google probably indexed the SQL query as a result of the page generating a flawed SQL statement, which would most likely display on the page. Something along the lines of "Error something-or-other. Check your syntax near [insert SQL statement here]."

And why would that be okay? It still makes them vulnerable to attacks be revealing partial database schema. Not to mention the fact that they obviously aren't using stored procedures.

Dish really has messed up their EPG. Didn't used to be this crappy. Tell me, which movie is this "Star Wars:..." helpful! If it isn't broken, why fix it.

Backhander from the people who make printed TV guides.

That graphic is 1200 pixels tall. Where did Jasmin get a monitor that has a vertical resolution of 12,000 pixels?

    And what's a 'fof'? :)

    Scrollbars FTW.

Probably not. Probably a program that takes screenshots of windows (including dialogue boxes). It's possible the desktop had scrollbars, but this seems less likely to me than the use of any number of freeware screenshot utilities that would do that...

Are you sure the "Journey" wasn't in reference to the Sham-wow guy in the upper right corner?

  • nonny nonny (unregistered)

Hey, I've seen that movie. Except when I saw it, it was called "Innerspace".

  • Paul (unregistered)

Perhaps they had to journey to the center of the ear in order to fix the damage caused by ShamWow!!! guy's shoutiness and DirecTV's love of increasing the volume to ear-busting levels during ads?

They did fix this bug, the same movie was showing up untruncated a week or two later. 'ALTER TABLE' FTW!

"I was searching for lyrics on Google, when I came across this search result,"writes Aaron M.. "How would Google know the SQL behind this page? I checked the page source: SELECT * FROM tblLyr WHERE album = 'Illinois' AND auteur = 'Sufjan Stevens'. I guess you can 'none', but you can't hide from Google!"

I dont know whats worse, the code or the fact you were looking up Sufjan Stevens

The real WTF is that "Journey to the Center of the Ear" isn't shown on the Discovery Channel.

Kinda changes the meaning a bit.

No, actually Windows doesn't let you have windows that have a greater height than the display's vertical resolution...

That Red Alert 3 one is not a WTF, I see them all the time in my modding/hacking/reverse engineering work for that game. Its just a stack back-trace I believe.

I think I saw one of those Cavendish things before. It was a fully automated karaoke vending machine set up in a bar, sorta like a jukebox. I suppose the submitter already sang once, and the machine was begging him not to try again.
The poster said it was automated parking pay-station. Karaoke in parking lots should be a bannable offense anyhow.

Unless they pipe it into the elevators... or the surrounding buildings for others to enjoy. You'd hear so many classic renditions of Limp Bizkit's 'Faith,' you wouldn't know what to do!
