I didn't like the FIRST one.

Have you guys seen the new Arizona Cardinals' stadium? It's crazy:

How about we stop wasting our time with these shitty Error'd features and have some REAL ARTICLES. Three fucking days without a real article.
Addendum (2007-09-07 11:13): Actually there hasn't been a "real" article since last month, if you don't count Tales from the Interview. And that last article was pretty shitty, too. Get with the fucking program - I don't come here to read one-liners that aren't WTFs and a bunch of shitty "Ooops, we fucked up" screenshots. I miss the old DailyWTF where there was, in fact, a Daily WTF. I guess now the real reason for the name change is evident - get rid of the term "daily", not the "WTF".

Someone peed in your Shreddies this morning. Eesh.

Entitled a-holes make me laugh.

THe last one reminds me of my flight last week with Spirit Airlines when my original flight got canceled. My new flight was leaving from Miami, I was in FT Lauderdale and the flight Spirit gave me was leaving in 20 minutes. Gotta love that. Just to add to the WTF, they were writing everything on paper since they had no computers or internet access. Technology what?
Admin
I'd like to thank you for brightening everyone's day by giving us something to laugh at:
You.

There's a simple solution to the -1 minute wait time: just walk faster.
Admin
The first picture is a truly great WTF. At first I thought it was just a UI design WTF: "Putting those percentages in a column makes them look like they should add up, when in fact each one only pertains to its own line." Then I stared at it some more, made a face very similar to the round face in this site's logo, and asked myself, "What are those percentages of? The number ten?"
The second one is great because Engrish always qualifies as a WTF. And more so in this case because Acer is at least a somewhat well-known brand, and they clearly applied zero QA to their product.
For some reason, the software bundled with many digital cameras seems particularly ridden with Engrish. If only I still had access to the Win98 drivers for my old Vivitar camera....
Admin
There's nothing wrong with the first one. vBulletin's (and all other BB boards I know) poll system counts the percentage as a part of the number of people who voted, not the number of votes. In multi-choice polls, then, the total percentage can exceed 100% by far: in this case, each voter voted, on average, 5.8 times, and there have been 10 voters.
The very minor WTFs here are that 1) the poll creator created a multi-choice poll for a question that, by formulation, should allow just one choice and that 2) people vote 5.8 times on average.

I know seriously. I get so pissed off when paying customers don't get the quality they are promised. Oh wait ... worsethanfailure.com is free ... they don't owe us anything ... so why are you bitching? If you hate it that much then stop reading.
Admin
You beat me to the punch ... oh well.

Admin
In reference to the troll (yes, it was an obvious troll, we shouldn't really be affirming his behaviour by responding)... I think the quality really has picked up recently, I did complain myself a while ago when everything was falling apart quality-wise, but it has made a definate upward turn. I once again look forward to TDWTF popping up in my feed reader.

My camera's been using, but we put it in rehab. It's getting its life back together. One day at a time.

He just has to walk faster - MUCH faster.
There Was a Young Lady from Bight Who's speed was much faster than light She set out one day (in a Relative way) and arrived on the previous night!
Admin
yeah seriously whoever is doing these wtfs is doing some wtfs themselves these days. Sure it's funny and amusing but the implementation was not only correct, but is smart having a little buffer that eats into the walking time.
Admin
Admin
I wouldn't be worried for K's tranfer (hey, he's attended even before arriving!) wasn't for the number of times i have used -1 meaning infinite
Admin
Perhaps theRubyWarlock can supply some examples from his own vast corpus of work. If the intellect he displayed in his post is any example of the quality of his work he should have a lot to contribute.

Don't be mean... Inedo got a customer for sure! No time to waste with you, free-content hungry readers.

Go Winnipeg!
(for those that recognize the bus schedule)
Admin
The poll was probably designed to deal with polls with 2, 3, or 4 options, and simply could not handle one with 25 options.
Admin
The poll.
Admin
The percentages just looked like they did the number of votes times 10. You have to wonder what they were thinking.
Admin
WooHoo....Winnipeg Transit.

THANK YOU, While you have some people laughing at you I guess, myself and my fellow co-workers thank you for typing what we have been saying for months now.
Admin
The software is, by the way, vBulletin, one of the leading forum software packages. I use it and administer it on a daily basis and am very happy with it. It has occasional design issues, but is not WTF-y in the least.
Admin
Admin
Well I guess you really can't please 580% of the people 100% of the time. I don't get all the complaining. If you watch a TV show you don't like, do you send a letter to the writers? If you don't like a song, do you call the band? No, you stop watching/listening and do it better your goddamn self if you think you know what people want.
Admin
You're coming here to complain and waste your time and ours. We don't care, be an ass somewhere else.
Thanks in advance.
Admin
The bottom bit is from WinnipegTransit.com and I actually take the 49 Dugald to and from work each day! Nice to see a local bit make it to WTF. :)
Admin
It actually says "Multiple Choice Poll", but for some reason it is missing in the screenshot.
Admin
Yes, but why can't it divide:
(total number of votes for each item) / (total votes cast across all items)
to normalize the percentages?
Admin
Admin
The real WTF is that the correct plural of stadium is stadia.
Admin
I think TheRubyWarlock is correct about the name change. Because of the ever increasing difficulty of posting a unique WTF every day, the decision was made to remove the term daily. wtf.com was taken so we have to settle for worsethanfailure.com.
Admin
-Harrow.
Admin
Why do all the windows screenshots look like beryl's default theme. Is that vista or manufactured.
captcha: gotcha... u sure did
Admin
To paraphrase Terrance and Phillip :
"That's just TheRubyWarlock. He's a dick"
Admin
Admin
The WTF in the first one is actually that it is a multiple choice poll . . . . . the question is "Which team has the BEST stadium". Surely BEST means you can only give one answer?
Admin
I agree. There is a big WTF in that they used a multiple choice poll for a question that has a superlative answer.
Admin
It's actually a reasonable solution. I live in that city, and the bus system is VERY generous with walking times, and buses are consistently late. If you walk at a reasonable pace, you have about a better than 50% chance of making a -1 minute wait.
Admin
That's Vista's Aero but with the color changed to black instead of the default light blue.
Admin
Sheesh.
It's a vBulletin poll results screen -- at least, same font, same table pattern, and even the default colors.
If you do a multiple choice poll, each of them shows how many people picked that option. Thus, if everyone picks every option, every option is at 100%.
So some twit built it as a multiple-choice poll, and someone snapshotted it with five votes. Not a WTF, at all; PEBKAC.
Admin
Maybe the people who did it thought there were going to be exactly 10 voters, so the percentage is the number of votes * 10%. Then 58 turned up.
Agree you yes? Expect I -5 people agreeing.
