Computer sees: Language preference: en-US Language viewed: en-GB.

Computer thinks: Ask user: "You're seeing en-US, but selected that you want en-GB". That looks good. Let's send it to the formatter for display.

    Formatter: en-US = English en-GB = English Dafuq do I know.

Well, at least 50 from 79.95 is (roughly) 62%.

And yes, I got the same confusing dialog when I installed Sourcetree.

  • ToBeSe (unregistered)

I also just got the SSH dialog, thank you Source Tree!

  • (nodebb)

What I find amusing is that SourceTree must be creating this dialog manually. Neither Windows or OSX has built-in functions for a dialog box with just Yes and Cancel options. At least I couldn't find any reference for OSX with that and Windows's MessageBox function only has Yes/No or Yes/No/Cancel.

    It's lovingly hand-crafted stupidity.

or the normal copypasta from somewhere else in the site where this makes sense? Or even more likely did make sense several version ago and when some one ask for the text to be changed they never looked to see if the buttons made sense.

    SetWindowText?

It must be Friday, because I can't see what's wrong with the Pokemon Go screenshot. Are they complaining that the "g" in "Poliwag" wrapped to the next line?

  • blakeyrat (unregistered)

    I hate this website!

  • Sham (unregistered)

Really starved for inclusions this week. Text wrap in an app is WTF-worthy? Really?

poliwag is hypnotizing me with the spiral on his chest, is that how he's gotten everyone else in the world to get addicted to the game?

(I've never played, had a WoW addition for 5 years, weaned myself off with Skyrim (at least I could shut it off after 20 min or an hour without letting my guildies down) and after that I avoid video games like the plague...)

MSDN search is strange. Can't replicate his results...

  • (nodebb) in reply to Rick

Rick, besides that, there is a whole bunch of text missing. The "C" at the top should be "CP". "Wate" is Water and is supposed to have a small word "Type" under it. Those numbers are supposed to have units next to them and words below explaining what they are. The symbols below that are supposed to have numbers next to them. Something is busted on the page making things not fit where they belong and often not display due to not fitting. Just search for images of Pokemon Go and you will see what this screen is supposed to look like (even if not for a Poliwag). https://www.google.com/search?q=pokemon+go&safe=off&hl=en&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X

That Windows 10 is celebrating its birthday ALMOST as often as it asks if you want to install Silverlight!

  • (nodebb) in reply to powerlord

    Well, MessageBox(...) also has OK, OK/Cancel, Abort/Retry/Ignore, Retry/Cancel, and Cancel/Try Again/Continue...

The birthday one makes a lot more sense when you realize that it's actually just singing to Windows 10. The third iteration should be pronounced, Happy first biiiiiirthdaaaaaay, Windows Tennnnnnn....

After the fourth iteration, Windows 10 blows out its candles and everyone has cake.
