Reminds me of daft inflexible policies of corporate email addresses, stuff like first name, first letter of surname which gave people stuff like [email protected]. [email protected] and [email protected].
I had a friend called Steve Gaynor (anonymised a bit) who went to work for a place where the policy was first three letters of surname followed by a period, then first name ....

We always get weird time-based reports around the start of Daylight Savings Time, which is what I suspect caused the apparent time-travel incident. I guess someone could be monitoring performance on a Tardis, but DST seems more reasonable.
