Do I detect a bit of sarcasm towards investing in blockchain stuff here?

    April Frist?

Thank you TDWTF for making the important software

This comment has a TFT; its token is 42.

I too am lacking in rainforests to destroy, but I suppose I could try weeding the garden for a few minutes?

This is an important step toward the holy fungible grail of PFTs - partially fungible tokens.

The PFT will allow mutex-able token sharing in a way that finally realizes the vision of the now otherwise abandoned token ring technology - which allowed sharing but only in a clockwise direction.

By having fully-sharable partially fungible tokens we will at last be able to move from simple cloud computing to token-based computational semantics.

And that will enable fungible paradigm shift of digital proportions.

aaaa -- HAH! I get it! TRWTF is the word "buttom"!

    Duz I winz de internetz?

  • Hanzito (unregistered)

    Brillant!

Ok fair play that got a smile out of me.

But yeah. NFTs are completely ridiculous, eh.

  • rosuav (unregistered)

TBH this doesn't even need to be posted on April 1st. It's a perfectly good response to NFTs.

“ or just replacing all of this with a random number, which would likely be just as good.”

<insert joke about the random oracle model here>
  • tbo (unregistered)

This might be one of the few sites that gets less funny on April 1st.

Do I detect a whiff of Golgafrincham logic here?

  • (nodebb)

My token is being funged daily, sometimes more than once per day.

My token is being funged daily, sometimes more than once per day.

Better that than someone tokening your funge, I'd say.

  • Carl Witthoft (google)

What fun is a TFT if it isn't at least twice as long (bytes) as the object being tokenized?

    More than just resource scarcity:

People are people no matter their appearances. Deep inside, we all share something, and worthy of respect. Sure. That's one way to look at it. The other way is, perhaps, we're the normal ones, and you're the freak. Your inevitable outcome? Only a matter of time.

Timing means something. For something to really take off, it can't just be the best, but also fortunate in regards to cultural trends. Disruption tends to fizzle out. A decade ago. Neocons. Today. Elderly care and home heating. Congrats! You just disrupted yourself out of the world.

A headless server running on a central data server will always be the unit commodity of adding value to network traffic. The resource cost goes negative, meaning they pay you to consume resources. They already do if you count education and job spending. The peer has to make it's own secret, and then isolate that secret from itself. HTTP Secure Cookie already does that. One peer needs to discover another peer. So DNS.

Network activity on undersea cables and cell towers gets so bulky and predictable, today's resources used by the big platforms become minutia. All the compute and storage peers are purely ephemeral running on a linear regression of a global wireless data signal. Provisioning your container no longer is writing blocks on storage or RAM, but adjusting the weights.

Now that's some authentic frontiers-of-IT gibberish.

Methinks someone's porn collection was running low and thus came up with a way to get people to restock the best stuff for them. I mean, do we really know if the file isn't being saved somewhere?

TFTs are much better than NFTs, or no~~n~~-fun~~gible~~ tokens

  • Erwin (unregistered)

Hmm, markdown strike-through notation seems broken... Let's try again...

TFTs are much better than NFTs, or non-fungible tokens

  • Lazy (unregistered)

I'm surprised that you didn't try to patent Wholly Tokenizable Fungi.

  • eric bloedow (unregistered)

    "so...they're a fungus?" that's a line from "Schlock Mercenary".

I found this article after a friend and I came up with a physical Totally Fungible Token (http://langintro.com/tft), and we linked to it in our description.
