Frist and testing whether TDWTF handles singular 1 comment correctly

    Addendum 2022-12-27 07:38: It doesn’t

Given the vast supply of public restrooms where the hot water faucet doesn't produce hot water, developing the habit of assuming all public restroom sinks are cold-only hardly seems to be quite as icky as Ellen assumes. yes, using no water at all is icky. But assuming no hot = no water is a bridge much too far. Especially if the supply of hot water in that bathroom was new.

Ellen is drawing the wrong conclusions. Just because the hot-water heater in the women's bathroom was incorrectly wired doesn't mean the same mistake was made in the men's bathroom. If she doesn't want to shake hands anymore, it's her female coworkers she should avoid.

Seems to be a lot of employees visiting the bathroom every thirty minutes or so.

I would recommend this as a general management principle. The more your employees visit the bathroom, the more problems you will diagnose. Also, put a water cooler in there and maybe a Zoom feed!

Well, if you're going to force the minions into the office for no reason at all, you might as well maximize the benefits.

Sounds to me like they have an unisex bathroom.

That's how they spent the rest of the day, searching through the server room, trying to figure out what might be drawing a whopping 2000W of power off the UPS. There was nothing unusual or out of place, however. ... there, in fact, was: they had wired the bathroom circuit to the server room UPS

I'm kind of concerned about this "inventory" that they performed... Maybe they did, or maybe they just ran cold water over it.

Of course he washes in cold water - he's a dude.

    From: https://today.yougov.com/topics/society/articles-reports/2020/01/30/hand-washing-soap-poll-survey

Fewer than half of 18-to 24-year-olds (48%) say that they always wash their hands with soap after using the restroom at home.

In the UK it's still the norm for sinks to have separate taps for hot and cold water, forcing you to choose between boiling or freezing water when washing your hands.
