Locationalization must become a real word. 😍

You can close the pop-up by clicking the roman numeral X in the upper right corner.

Guessing that the puzzle also has the requirement of "start and end on a number" so they need to add a little extra snakey-bit after the 5 in order to not have the appendage after 12...

You start on 1, end on 12, and must fill in every cell in the grid. After 5 you were supposed to zig-zag back and forth to fill the grid. What is err about that?

Is that - or could that be - this particularly annoying thing where you use nation flags to indicate content language? Or maybe the other annoying thing where your IP address is used to determine content language?

As to linkedin's game, the problem is obvious.

The player got to #12 with two squares left over. And sloppy game design let them continue the path past #12 to cover those last two squares. The error message amounts to "you didn't complete the puzzle correctly." But that's not what the words say.

The message would be valid, correct, appropriate, etc., if the gameplay was force-ended when you hit the #12. Sounds like the all-too common case of one part of the app making assumptions another part wasn't upholding.

I think the biggest WTF in that error message is the "Oops!". Has that just become standard to put in all error messages now?

As a long time reader of tdwtf, I should have thought to photograph the error message from the Hulu app when I was configuring a new apple TV device over the weekend.

I don't remember the exact text, but I'd much rather see "Oops!" in a customer-facing error message than "JSON".

Isn't TRWTF that there are GAMES ON LINKEDIN?

Addendum 2025-07-07 09:52: I would much rather they spend resources on validating job listings and nuking people who try to use LI as a dating site.

Obviously, for #2, it is fortunate that they are checkboxes, enabling you to select both. "Yes, they are checkboxes and no, they shouldn't be checkboxes."

  • airdrik (unregistered)

#2 also allows you to select both, indicating: "yes I saw the HIPAA notice", and "no I didn't read them"; or: "no I didn't read them" but "yes 'I agree' now just let me through"

That title instantly grabbed my attention — it’s clever and catchy! “Better Nate Than Lever” sounds like it’s going to be something witty, heartfelt, or both. I love when a play on words hints at a fun or inspiring story behind it. It makes me curious about who Nate is and what the phrase really means in context. Definitely one of those names that makes you want to click and find out more.

    I like it!

Addendum 2025-11-12 15:04: It's amazing how discussions about bugs and weird interface decisions on forums like this remind me of my own experience with gaming platforms. Recently, while dealing with a bug on a website, I was also trying to figure out the mechanics on https://www.luckyjet1winindia.com and noticed that even there, sometimes the interface has these not-so-obvious things that make you wonder. Same story with https://www.plinko1winindia.com — sometimes it feels like the devs are making life harder for players on purpose with their mysterious choices. Feels like it's not just corporate services, but gaming sites too that love to add extra confusion!
