    I remember once in around 1979 or so we were installing a process monitoring computer in a large automobile-related manufacturing center. Like Frank’s place ,this factory was a union shop, and we had to get a special dispensation to be able to wire uo our own computer, under the supervision of a union person, over the Christmas’s shutdown. It was more difficult getting through the red tape than actually writing the software!
