You know, I was thinking the same thing, but then I realized that, in and of itself, was a symbolic "hit" on LOTR. Tolkien originally submitted LOTR as one book, and his publisher said, "You've got to be kidding me!" His publisher wanted it cut down. Tolkien essentially "won" that argument by making it into 3 books.
The length of the video to make a single point is (probably) a rip on the length of LOTR in making 3 books about what should have been one long walk and a fast raid.

As opposed to a 12 hour New Zealand Tourism Board commercial.

Pics or it didn't happen.
No but honestly, AFAIK Tolkien didn't finish the book until the 3rd volume was published. There was no "complete story" when the 1st one was published.

Why, in every forum, is there one jackass who won't believe the ocean is wet until he sees a picture?

Search for 136 To Rayner Unwin
This is common knowledge, BTW.

The one that says:
I am afraid I must ask for your lenience in the matter of the date. But I see some hope in your letter, since it appears that the first 2 books would suffice to keep the ball rolling. I practically completed a detailed revision of these before disasters overtook me; and I can let you have them by the end of this month.
Or did you mean another one?

Doesn't do it for me.

Are you at all familiar with how publishing works (or at least how it used to)?
Authors are contracted for delivery of final products, after publisher approves drafts / outlines / "treatments." That's what he's talking about.
And I don't care what "Does it for you." See a hooker for that.

Well, I liked the video. Sure, it was repetitive, with unnecessary sub-plots and multiple endings, but so was LOTR.
