If you use an app called "Your Phone", you can expect messages like that. The WTF is two-fold: 1. someone publishing an app called that, 2. someone else using an app called that.

I'd also like to know if Wayfair could sell me a "defined null" instead.

  • PenguinF (unregistered)

Well, it's a tactile keyboard right? Looks exactly as advertised.

  • Clueless (unregistered)

I don't see what the WTF is in the AWS image

  • doubting_poster (unregistered)

That keyboard is for coding fuzzy logic.

  • doubting_poster (unregistered) in reply to Clueless

UTC --1 is fine for you?

  • Peter Wolff (unregistered) in reply to Clueless

It's not AWS's fault. The WTF is the definition of the sign of the time zone offsets.

  • Peter Wolff (unregistered) in reply to doubting_poster

You're right -- there is a double minus sign. Didn't see it at first, not even in your comment.

Doesn't invalidate my point about the sign, though. UTC+1 means you have to add 1 h to GET TO UTC.

  • Andrew (unregistered)

This comment will end in 8762h.

  • Q (unregistered)

TRWTF is that the french are using AZERTY keyboards

  • scragar (unregistered) in reply to Peter Wolff

UTC+1 means you have to add 1 h to GET TO UTC.

    It means the exact opposite.

UTC+1 means from UTC you have to add 1 hour to get to UTC+1. To get from UTC+1 you subtract the hour.

Easy way to confirm, pick two timezones with known offsets and look up the difference between them, then see how you'd have to do the maths to convert. Argentina is UTC -3 and it's currently 10:15 Greece is UTC + 2 and it's currently 15:15 To convert to Greek time you simply need to subtract your current offset(Argentina being -3 so that'd make it 13:15) and then add Greece's offset(+2 making it 15:15). If we try it the way your comment said we'd start at 10:15 UTC -3 and add -3 hours to get 07:15 UTC, then subtract +2 hours to get 05:15 UTC +2, which doesn't disagree with the time you get when you look it up.

What's the problem with the ebay item? That screenshot was taken on Dec 29, 2018, obviously. So the WTF is that it waited more than a year to be published here? I am confused...

  • my name is missing (unregistered)

Wayfair always has what I need, even when I need nothing.

  • Qazwsx (unregistered)

TRWTF in the Wayfair one that it should be either "an undefined null" or "a null undefined"

  • Wayfarers (unregistered)

If you buy undefined, how do you know you got what you wanted?

  • Prime Mover (unregistered)

Get your undefined nulls! Get them here, nice and hot! While stocks last! Our nulls are guaranteed to be undefined!

  • (nodebb) in reply to Prime Mover

    How long are they?

  • I dunno LOL ¯\(°_o)/¯ (unregistered)

Can I get undefined NaN from Wayfair?

  • Some Ed (unregistered) in reply to Prime Mover

Oh, good, I've managed to run fresh out of those! Could you send null of them to

nil Defined Null Way, apt undef Utopia, None 00000

  • (nodebb) in reply to Steve_The_Cynic

I definitely would consider the phone one suspect--something evil is pretending to be something innocent.

  • (nodebb) in reply to Steve_The_Cynic

@Steve_the_cynic what is this "phone call" of which you speak? Is that like WhatsApp or something?

  • Angela Anuszewski (google) in reply to BernieTheBernie

I've submitted things and they are usually up in a week or two. I'm guessing that we're light on recent submissions.

  • Karl Nalishnokov (unregistered)

8762h is almost exactly a year.

  • code_goddess (unregistered)

That's not a keyboard, it's what the filming industry calls a "dead cat". Usually cats lay on top of keyboards or walk on them, generating nonsense keystrokes. This is the first time I've seen a cat inquire, "I can amz keyboard?".

  • Dominic Caplan (unregistered) in reply to Steve_The_Cynic

Are all smartphones used as phones?

    • playing games
    • access to internet
    • email
    • productivity apps Isn't it possible that a phone has been given to someone (child, employee, contractor, etc) that you would NOT want making or receiving phone calls?

    Just a thought.

  • Kilrah (unregistered)

Damn didn't think of taking a screenshot, the other day I had to fix a git repo that had a commit dated something like Feb 26, 2106, 01:30 UTC-26165
