One of the best WTF stories! Ever!11!!!

  • ICH (unregistered)

At last a WTF we can actually believe!

  • 0TT0 (unregistered)

I flew a ZX-80 once. One hell of a job to keep those 4096 bytes ROM running smoothly.

  • Nicholas "LB" Braden (github)

    Hahaha, great work Remy :)

  • MyName (unregistered)

First of July. An ordinary working day.

  • Jester (unregistered) in reply to 0TT0

Mine had the 16K RAM add-on. Not designed for anywhere that vibrated even slightly (like someone slamming a door two houses down the street). Maybe that's why they never caught on in California.

  • PullMan (unregistered)

    Now that movie makes sense.

  • Mistakes in an article about mistakes (unregistered)

    Very enjoyable.

  • Rick Roll (unregistered) in reply to MacFrog

Did you mean the Froth of July?

  • (nodebb)

Okay, I groaned at first at the alien theme, but then you had me with "fixed it with some canned atmosphere".

  • LH (unregistered)

Yes! This is a good one. Good job!

  • Hanzito (unregistered)

That's a very fine retelling. Many internet points to you.

  • Monners (unregistered)

Really good read. You've outdone yourself Remy!

  • Aankhen (unregistered)

    Bravo!

  • Anonymous (unregistered)

    Really excellent story!

  • Norman Diamond (unregistered)

Hey Remy, you should have warned us before putting on that Rick Roll virus. I just now watched the thing, and it caused my computer to crash 5 hours ago (the aliens are that advanced) and my wife sent a Skype message saying her computer crashed 4 hours ago (she didn't even watch the thing, but we had a Skype connection). Now that's causality for you.

  • LK (unregistered)

Great, now I'm going to feel sorry for Lisa every time I see that scene from now on.

  • BW (unregistered)

TRWTF is choosing music that can't be viewed in Germany. Thanks!

  • Arooo (unregistered)

    I really enjoyed this

  • Matt Smucker (google)

    This is awesome

  • Foo AKA Fooo (unregistered)

I wouldn't be surprised if this is an actual submission and Remy just slightly modified it to add the alien theme. (Much less changes, in fact, than the typical Erik Gern article.) Good job, really!

  • Ace (unregistered)

I think there was a deleted scene that explained how they were able to get the virus built so quickly. Apparently they were using alien technology left over from the Roswell incident.

  • Klimax (unregistered) in reply to BW

Can Germany watch anything at all on YouTube?

  • (nodebb)

Well them users weren't so happy after the incident, not that Lisa was there to appreciate becoming the scapegoat...

  • Foo AKA Fooo (unregistered) in reply to Klimax

Cat videos work (unless they have the wrong kind of background music), otherwise there'd been a revolution.

  • Justin O. (unregistered)

    MAC Attack!

  • I dunno LOL ¯\(°_o)/¯ (unregistered)

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ“ก๐Ÿš€ A++++++ would rick roll again

  • atornblad.se (unregistered)

I would watch this "other-perspective" movie!!! BTW, loved the ZX80.

  • _that_guy_ (unregistered)

This is actually good, and I didn't even watch crappy film. Well done!

  • David Caine (google)

    Bravo!!!!

  • Karl (unregistered)

I still think World War III won't be started by heads of nation-states, but by some IT guy who is sick and tired of resetting the nuclear launch codes.

  • Nargunomics (unregistered)

I had wondered how they got past the software defense perimeter. This clears it up for me. Now I can rest in peace! (BTW, as far as I can remember, the incidents occurred in March on the 29th and 30th and in April on the 1st. I don't know why they had to rearrange the dates. Do you?)
