You mean like this?

(RANGE1.START <=  RANGE2.END
   AND (RANGE1.START >= RANGE2.START OR RANGE2.END <= RANGE1.END)) 
OR (RANGE2.START <=  RANGE1.END
   AND (RANGE2.START >= RANGE1.START OR RANGE1.END <= RANGE2.END))

True, if one range's start/end is between the other one's ranges ends.
