    the "Something went wrong" censorship technique has been used by youtube for years. rewording the comment works, but if you take too many tries which aren't enough of a re-word, it either blocks you from commenting on that video completely,or it pretends to post the comment, but it actually doesn't (it disappears on page reload and isn't in your comment history)

    I wonder whether the moderation filter is triggered by username. Post up one teensy swearie and you're in moderation limbo for some considerable time afterwards, until you have proved that you can communicate appropriately for a 1641 Puritan convention.
