    If I knew anyone with a child between the ages of -1 and 4, I'd buy this book for them.

    However, some of the choices bug me.

    • C must be for C++. There is no other option.
    • S should be for Scratch. It's a great learning language for kids.
    • K or Z should be for k/z sh. Shell scripting is Turing complete, and can produce great WTFs.
    • O should be for a language that starts with Object (OCaml would qualify).

    I once woke up thinking "I have to make a shell script to binary executable compiler! It will be so awesome!". Thankfully I have nearly managed to delete that memory from my brain.

    But you're right, what's the point of having open source software if you use existing things instead or re-making them so you can show everyone how smart you are?

    Yeah, but forwarding only works for certain services. For example, it doesn't work with FedEx and UPS. USPS won't forward some types of mail, either, such as magazines.

    Didn't think you would give a valid one anyway, but who knows. You might prank with a fake address. :P

    I'll admit I had to google it. The only D.C. address I'd recognize without looking it up is a few blocks further down Pennsylvania Avenue.
