    I think the Twilight Zone landing page is deliberate -- the stars end at the edge of Chris O'Dowd eye, not his temple as in the rest of the image and generally the shifted graphic does not fit fully with the rest of the picture. For instance, there is a slight highlight below the shifted strip, now barely visible, but more pronounced when the strip is shifted back.

    Well, there are other status codes used unoffficially, but usually they stick to the 5 types. I suppose the server can use any 3 digit code, but nit sure the HTTP clients would do - I expect them to throw error like in case of 4xx and 5xx error codes.

    Regarding status code 601: The computer error "601" occurs because of a system overload while trying to simulate Andromeda's growth and mutation. The error number is a reference to the computer overload error of "1202" (exactly double) which occurred on the LEM during the first lunar descent. (Source: IMDb Trivia for "The Andromeda Strain", 1971) - Too much information coming in too fast.

    SIP (which is very similar to HTTP in many ways) has the concept of 6xx Global Failures - but not specifically 601. Is someone using a SIP stack to serve HTTP again? (It has been done)

    Status codes above 600 (and some in the 500 range) are unassigned in the HTTP standard. In the AT command manual for the SIM908, status meanings are given in the notes on the HTTPACTION command:

    600 Not HTTP PDU 601 Network Error 602 No memory 603 DNS Error 604 Stack Busy

    Rankine scale starts at zero and continues positive. There's no -500 in any standard temperature scale. Absolute Zero is:

    A negative temperature is not impossible (and is actually hotter than hot: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Negative_temperature)

    By the way, heat is not the same as temperature. Heat is a form of energy and temperature is a physical quantity.

    I thought it was feeling chilly in my apartment, but I guess I don't know what chilly is.

    As far as scientists claiming that there can be negative Kelvin or Rankine temperatures... they're scientists, not computer programmers, so it's pretty obvious that they've just experienced floating point overflow and didn't know how to handle it.
