I see two errors in Janez's photo: a Soap error and a driver playing with a cell phone / camera while driving on what appears to be a highway. One of those seems more likely than the other to cause a fatal crash.

    It's for science, right.

It's all right, it's a BMW. They get an exemption for things like this.

TRWTF is a car running PHP.

  • Harris M (unregistered) in reply to Jere

Was just about to say this. PHP is almost always bad news.

  • Jerepp (unregistered)

Looks like your car dropped the SOAP... never a good thing

  • Evil Code Monkey (unregistered) in reply to Jerepp

That's a good way to get rear ended.

  • Carl Witthoft (google) in reply to Apathy

Well there's your problem: driving a bimmer. Get a Tesla. Huuuge touch screen.

But seeing as how we already know that PHP is a fractal of fail, that would just add another meta level of fail, one that looks roughly the same as all the other fractal levels of fail.

Hope the driver bought the "super extended BMW service plan" or they'll face a $2,000 repair bill to have the technician do the equivalent of "turning off and back on".

A simple glance at the road shows you that this is a left-hand-drive country, probably the UK.

Therefore, it is extremely likely that the front seat passenger is taking the photo.

  • Jere (unregistered) in reply to OldCoder

It's a four lane highway. The rail is to the left and ramps to the right (judging from the sign). Traffic is definitely right hand

  • (nodebb)

A simple glance at the road shows you that this is a left-hand-drive country, probably the UK. A simple glance at the dashboard shows that it slopes up to the left in order to clear the dials, so this is a right-hand-traffic¹ country, therefore probably not the UK.

¹ I think you meant “left-hand traffic” rather than “left-hand drive”.

Addendum 2017-02-24 13:15: Dammit, didn't press Return key enough times, and there’s no way to actually edit the post.

Must be the driver, because rear seats aren't a thing and nobody can take a photo unless the phone is right in front of their eyes.

  • Appropriate Analogy (unregistered) in reply to Harris M

If I see PHP on my car's dashboard, that stands for "pooped his pants."

  • Sam (unregistered) in reply to OldCoder

No it's not. Look at the interior of a BMW 5 series. The dash slopes down away from the driver. The slope on this picture indicates it's left hand drive.

Which leads to another question: do they flip the UI RTL style on the RHD countries?

  • John S (unregistered)

BMW puts breadboards in the dashboards of their cars now? Interesting.

  • John S (unregistered) in reply to Robert Morson

@Robert Morson: Looks like the "driver" also removed the steering wheel to take that photo. That's really dangerous, right?

The Gregorian one isn't so bad. It's presumably just the colon in the album title screwing up the ID3 parsing. It's not "trying too hard" so much as "forgot to escape field separators".

It's "Salve Festa Dies: Gregorian Chant for Seasons of the Year" by "In Dulci Jubilo", by the way.

  • RandomStranger (unregistered)

Ha, when I unzip my pants I too have a huge outside baloney.

  • (nodebb)

I had no intention of making a formal investigation into that condo anyway.

That's where the radio should be...No soap radio

  • Dirk And the Mac (unregistered)

Yep, thats definitely a LHD so I would say the passenger is taking the pic. The real WTF is that he thinks that the the iDrive not working is a noteworthy occurrence! I have to say that ALL of the software on my 5 old series was shocking. Almost daily it would report that I had a puncture..... until the day when I actually did have one.

  • moo? (unregistered)

    Typos are now WTFs?
