I don't get half of these.

I don't get half of these.

    1. Personalised email. Sent to ALFONSO when the recipient's name was Jamie.

    2. The .00000002% at the end of the saving

    3. Reading a video.

    4. Return journey taking NaN changes and zero minutes.

    5. Haven't a scooby on that one either.

    Installation is mandatory, when required.

    1. "Mandatory, when required"
  • (nodebb)

Pretty sure the last one is about "mandatory, when required."

So, in other words, if you need functionality dependent on GSKit, make sure to install version 8.0.14.24 or higher.

    1. "Reading a video" is all I could find on that one as well, and is the most minor of WTFs, if one at all.

    2. I think it's the full bar of ############ with 33% on it.

  • Mike Shawaluk (google)
    1. Also appears to be a test message (subject line is "Test 013 - Eloqua Static Footer Test" from Eloqua Admin)

I think we're missing one picture. See how a section says it'll show Jonathan's submission and it immediately shows Betsy R.'s (with no comment, which is also unusual).

I also think that this article wasn't entirely written or checked before being posted. Not only because the lack of a comment on Betsy's pic and Jonathan's lack of a pic, but also because Jonathan's submission starts a section that encompasses all the remaining submissions!

So, uh, TRWTF today is TDWTF?

  • Dave Aronson (google)

The missing pic is at https://thedailywtf.com/images/18/q1/e306/Pic-2.png

Thanks for linking to the correct image, Dave . . . I bow in your general direction.

Clearly GWR are going back to their roots, when Bristol had it's own time zone, which is 10 minutes behind London. Assuming Reading is halfway to Bristol, that makes Reading time = London-0:05. So I guess you're on one of the new electic trains, and they're going to take only 5 minutes elapsed time from Paddington, making the departure and arrival times equal in their local timezones. Makes all the pain of electification worth while, doesn't it?

So getting a news letter than someone signed up for using your email address is a WTF?

  • GuestyMcGuestface (unregistered)

Why would a TI newsletter be coming from an SFCG address? The two don't appear to be related. Maybe it's a phishing campaign to get TI user credentials by suggesting that people log in to change their TI newsletter preferences and directing them to a phishing page instead. I've seen weirder.

  • LzzrdBorth (unregistered) in reply to PJH

Actually, the thought of have to change trains NaN times makes me nervous - It's just another form of limbol, isn't it?

  • Phlip (unregistered)

So, the image about random CSS spilling into the headline, isn't showing because of random HTML spilling into the URL.

There's something almost poetic about that.

  • Phlip (unregistered)

Also, the missing comment on Betsy's image is "I sure hope it's closed captioned"

  • (nodebb) in reply to Phlip

    Obligatory https://xkcd.com/1843/

Googling "Sarah and sfcg.com" leads to a fluff interview of a CRM person at that company, and the interviewer name (also from that company) is Jamie. A bit rich for a coincidence.

Today? Most days. The quality of the site is rather abysmal now.

  • James (unregistered)

You've made a right mess of this one.

Is it some sort of in joke to cock up every error'd article? Maybe I just don't get it.

  • Anony Mous (unregistered)

    And that's why you don't use TI-BASIC
