    Yay! She said it!

So on a scale of 9 to 10, how terrible is this?

  • JTM (unregistered)

Brilliant! A little late for April fools but this is hilarious!

This reminds me of other remote science bases here on earth. I won't say which one I visited, but it was pretty cold.

Joke's on you. The episode was 38 minutes long. You undervalue yourself, sucka.

Come on, gimme the transcript! I'm not going to spend half an hour listening something I can read in five minutes.

  • Ex-lurker (unregistered) in reply to ceiswyn

This! Not only the transcript makes us lose less time, it is also easier on those of us that are either hearing impaired or have a harder time understanding SPOKEN english than WRITTEN english. Which is a very common thing with people who were born and live in any non english-speaking countries.

    Heisenberg's uncertain bladder...

Two things that didn't make the final cut:

    • DeGrasse's distracting mustache!
    • Krick's mutated colon!

Yes yes yes I'll try to get it up tomorrow. Just takes a bit of time to export the PDF, run it through a couple regexes, and post the HTML. Nights have been busy with an infant, and day's been busy at work prepping to go on paternal leave for aforementioned infant.

I think the usual idea is to get the leave organised before the baby arrives...

    Paternal...

My wife's been on maternal leave thusfar, but goes back a day before kiddo's first birthday. I then take the rest of the spring and summer. By fall, she's in daycare.

Silly mortal with your two, bad assumptions: One, that I listened to the whole thing. Two, that I have a human time perspective.

  • (nodebb)

Transcript is up. Note that everything is spelled using silent characters for the spelling mistakes, so that's why you can't hear them.

I’ve bee technology available to human kind.
It sure was nice of the bees to share their technology with us.

that part about "physics doesn't give a damn" made me think of that old short-story, "the cold equations".
