We all know about "Engrish": bad translations into English from Japanese, Chinese, etc.
We soon may need a new language word: AIrish for their "creative" interpretations of our difficult tongue. I suspect "Everyone's the Acceptor" is AIrish.

It's not bad UI, it's a philosophical conundrum. If you don't know your psychic address, you don't have one. It comes to you in a vision, obviously. But, if you have one, you don't need to write it down. The right vibes will carry it to the other party.

I wonder if the first one, with the grossly mislabelled buttons, is caused by an English >> Dutch >> English translation, with both directions done by people who don't know the destination language.

The Dutch button should probably say Alles accepteren (since the “Reject all” button uses Windows-style labels, that is, using the infinitive) — word for word in English: “All to accept”. I don’t really see a direct path from that to “Everyone’s the Acceptor” but suspect a third language, if not an automatic translation through who-knows-what languages in between.

Except who in Europe doesn't know English [even better than we do]?

My psychic / mental address is: Officer Johnny Holzkopf, Imaginary Road √-1, 12345 Feelgoodstetten, Depressionland. Comes back.

OK, fair point. I meant "knows the destination language like a native". Always always always(1), you should prefer a translation done by a person who speaks the target language as a native language.
(1) There are certain uncommon cases where you have to put up with someone translating to that person's "non-native" language. Like, for example, a certain Steve_The_Cynic you might have heard of, roped into translating "on the fly" the points discussed in English during a livestream for an MMORPG, into French (not my native language) by the Frenchies in his guild... (That's hard work, by the way, and all respect, due or not, to the folks who do that for organisations like the UN.)

That's excellent thinking. If they were consciously being grammatically consistent. Say what you will of MSFT, but they're darn good at those basics of consistent grammar / voice / etc. in their UI strings. At least in English; my experience with their other UI languages is very limited.
For a sales website belonging to some random multinational (techie or not), I'd not expect to be able to count on such attention to detail.

I think "Everyone's the acceptor" is a deliberate joke. After all, everybody does press that button.
Admin
LOL!. shades of "All your base are belong to us", figuratively. And, at a deeper level - literally
Admin
Ugh. Where's the "I lol'ed" button on posts?
Admin
Dell is hardly "some random multinational"...
