real wtf here is that first pic's file is Pic-4.png

  • (nodebb) in reply to bvs23bkv33

Nah, calling the first pic Pic-4 is not an issue.

However, the W3C validator would like the editor to see him later... https://validator.w3.org/nu/?doc=https%3A%2F%2Fthedailywtf.com%2Farticles%2Fthe-error-is-terror

The frist error is running spellcheck on code.

For the Jumble Jong picture it took me a while to find it, but I saw on the bottom left the word is "undefined"

Ahhh, so M&M stands for Men's Mountain.

She may be a Zoroastrian terrorist, but throwing terms like that at her just makes her seem more hawt. 😍

  • bobcat (unregistered)

Fun fact: using Zoroaster as a variable name brings the blessings of Ahura Mazda upon your code. This may cause some problems with booleans.

This article is what made me stop bothering with this site. Author can't even escape bold mode, at least 2 of these weren't really WTF's and one was so vague I gave up looking.

    Goodbye, forever.

    Clearly a Yorkshire programmer.

It's a string literal in the code though.

  • Smikth (unregistered) in reply to .

Yes, it's a string literal. This is, in fact, a SPELL CHECKER extension to Visual Studio, with all the limitations of normal word processor spell checkers. I recognise it because I use it myself! And last time I looked, "Lasterror" is not a word in the English language.

However, that very spell checker recognises that PascalCase words are fine (unlike a word processor's spell checker)--so the TRWTF is not using "LastError:" Or even the English words, "Last Error:"

The real wtf here is that there is only one flavor of M&M 😳
