That's just another "Waiter, there's a fly in my soup!" joke.

    "Waiter, waiter, what is this?"

    "Er, it's bean soup, sir."

"Yes I know that, but what is it now?"

This comment is lame. Must be a forum issue. It was still funny when I posted it.

Here's another take on events like this: https://xkcd.com/325/

@DocMonster: The WTF is that somewhere in the world there is (or was) a non-jerky company. I don't know abut you, but I'm always astonished when I find such evidence.

I'm appalled by the way Walt approached a valid concern by a customer. Rodents inside equipment can cause....

As far as I am aware, the data center in Tulsa for American Airlines still has a proud display of a fried rodent. (Can't remember what species.) Damn thing blew out ops for half a day or longer.

I do like the comment that "they were alive when we shipped," however.

    Mmmmm, rat jerky ....

No update on the situation? What happened with the shipping company??

Penn State grad here - when I was a student, we had a campus-wide power outage for almost a full day because a squirrel managed to take out some buried power cables.

Now I come to think of it, I seem to recall that the Oklahoma rodent in question was a squirrel. (Though it might have been a racoon.)

I don't know what it says that the ops guys chose to honor that squirrel/racoon with the equivalent of the glass cage containing a semi-mummified Jeremy Bentham. But I do salute their sense of humor.
