That test sign is probably just there to test new technology on the pole, without having to mess with a real, potentially important sign.

    Ah, you ruined it :(

Forget the subway sign. Did you score that hot young lady?

I'm not the one that submitted it but that test sign is near where I live. That area gets very high winds and a lot of snow. There is also test paint line on the road with different paints. I think it is testing out new things to see how well they stand up to the elements.

that Ubuntu one reminds me of when my old antivirus program went crazy and started blocking everything on my favorite game site-and when i tried to adjust it's settings, it gave me a completely blank window!

The CodeProject one is a member who deliberately updated all of their articles to gibberish before deleting them.

I can't see any indication of why (s)he did that.

It usually tends to be because the member's employer thinks the article contains their IP, and want it removed. But that would usually be accompanied by a request to the admins to remove the revision history as well.

I dont think the BSOD art instalation is a WTF.

I happened to experience a similar bug in Kubuntu installer, except I hit an AssertionError instead. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1783033

Variants of Ubuntu installer encryption failure have existed for years.

If you look at the Street View just a little bit north of that sign (the Street View van is driving south) you'll also see them completely blow the red light at the intersection... Coming through, important geological survey happening here!
